Don't know validity of this;

“@terrence_payne: Following the 16u win at the #hofnit, Team Scan 2014 F Chris McCullough said he's going to Brewster next year. He decided two days ago.”

Where there is smoke there is usually fire considering this rumor was out there several weeks ago.

It seems legit because the tweets are a result of what appears to be direct quotes from Chris.  In other words "Chris said this..." and "Chris said that..."  Doesn't sound like second hand info but rather direct quotes.

From Indiana Rivals site, Peegs.  First video of him at Peach Jam:

Then an interview discussing his interest in Indiana, they recently offered.  Says he is looking to visit perhaps next month.

“@AdamZagoria: Chris McCullough draws slew of coaches at Peach Jam http://t.co/0JnmmFNM[/

Zag notes McCullough's intent to cut list to five by September. Usual suspects; UConn, Cuse, SJU, etc.

Apparently UCLA is about to offer and McCullough has a connection to UCLA since his sister is set to enroll at UCLA:

http://stjohns.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1387174

If the Bruins do end up offering, they might have a bit of a leg up on the rest of the field. McCullough said his sister is about to enroll there, which would be a plus for UCLA.

"It's a good school," said McCullough, who's been to Los Angeles but has never seen the UCLA campus. "My sister is about to go there, so it's good."

My bet is still that it will be SJU or Cuse.

“@bosworthhoops: Uconn is 3 deep led by Jim Calhoun watching Chris McCullough. #PeachJam”

Two assistants probably holding Big Jim up!

“@jeffborzello: Pitino, Calhoun, Mike Rice, Billy Kennedy, Kentucky, Syracuse, Pitt, Providence, Iowa State, St. John's for Team Scan/Houston Hoops 16s.”

Still not official about going to Brewster A. We are right there with Chris, probably a one and done guy, according to Zags ;

McCollough will be one and done, but Lavin will bring him to SJU.  We've been on him the longest.  Harkless getting drafted just outside lottery will pay dividends here.  McCullough Looooves NYC and I think he'll want to show that.  I have no problem with a one-and-done like CM.  He'll bring big publicity to the program.   Jim Calhoun trying to sell the kid, yet Calhoun just said he'll coach out his contract to 2014, meaning he won't be there to coach McCullough.  Sorry Ollie.

It's been suggested for awhile that UK would get involved sooner or later.   Anyone have a feel for how this affects his recruitment?
Do they automatically jump to the top of the list?

Has to be a huge blow to not only St. John's, but to all of the other teams involved, as well. Kentucky is at the pinnacle of college basketball right now and will likely be in the mix for his final decision, barring other extrinsic factors.

A college coach told me over the weekend that by the time this kid is finished high school, he might be best NYC prospect in 25 years.

I have never seen this young man play in person but I respect the opinion of the coach, seems like he is a special kid.

Kid seems to have tons of NYC pride.  I still think it will be us when all is said and done.  He almost committed last year to SJU.  Lavin has shown him that he can just as easily be one and done here and have success ala Harkless if that is his aim, and it should be.  Let's hope it stays that way.
