He's a little bit of a project, but he's real tall and long.

I'm sure the staff are doing their due diligence.  I've heard of Mbargorba, but have never witnessed him play.  He may have some potential.

Just a workout, but big dude and pretty mobile.  Built in the Hamady Ndiaye mold, but I think a bit of a smoother offensive player, maybe not he shotblocker.  Taller though. I haven't seen him play either.  Just heard some reports he was a bit raw.

Per Paul Biancardi (ESPN Recruiting)....

Watching NJ Roadrunners .More size in 2012 class as 7 '0" Blaise Mborgorba is real long as he protects the basket and rebounds some.

Psssst someone tipped off Coach Lavin & Hines about Blaise at Hoop Group Elite Camp session 1. Lavin just so happened to be the only head coach watching him.

He runs the floor pretty well, blocks shots, and has a decent midrange shot. He's a legit 7 footer who is smart in the classroom. He'll have a lot of high major looks. Plays for NJ Roadrunners AAU team which has Tyler Robertson who is a complete stud. (same aau program that Kyrie Irving played for)

Does crazy Sandy still coach them?

UConn is close to offering Blaise Mbargorba, a 2012 center from the NJ Roadrunners.

We don't recruit projects anymore.

Just the opposite. We can now afford to recruit a project  if he has a skill that's unique or coach feels he will develop. Can't have a team of 10 Mickey D's

If your son is Blaise, a 7-foot plus African dude who's wingspan could hug a California redwood, I think his parents can be pretty confident he'll be OK at the Peddie... ;)

Blaise, you're wanted in the Headmaster's office.

Blaise, you're wanted in the Headmaster's office.

You aren't nearly immature enough: You should have spelled it "head master."

If you knew how old I am (49), you would realize just how immature I am.  Anyway, sometimes subtlety is better.

If Doherty gets canned....

Getting an athletic 7-footer to fall in your lap this late in the game would be huge, but would he consider us? I think Doh is definitely gone, but I'm not sure who goes for the job. It will be a Big East school soon enough, and they might have money to spend, but it seems like a tough job. I don't think a young hotshot leaves a top mid-major to go there.

Do you think they would give Dunlap a look?

Is there talk that Doherty will be canned?  I always wondered if we really went after Mbargorba.  We should have sent Charles Minland after him, both being from Cameroon.  I'd take him in a heartbeat.  Guy is still developing, apparently he is shooting 3s (not a joke).
