If we recall, there was never anything out there about Wood not liking SJU, or our staff losing interest in him.
It was framed as unfortunate "paperwork" issues, that caused him to decommit, aka academics.

So this doesn't surprise me much.  Especially if he's a 2013, and we lose a player or two between now and then to transfer/nba.

Love this kid, but does anyone know if he is 2012 or 2013?

“@AdamZagoria: Former #stjbb commit Darrick Wood will visit the school next weekend. He Tweeted it and sources confirm visit to @SNYtv.”

Have a sense Wood quite interested in us after recent tweets. Perhaps Fordham or someone can shed light on the likelihood of him qualifying this year. Tx!

I guess we hold off the #12 and #13 scholarships until the big men speak for 2012 commitments.  Hopefully, to Coach Lavin!

I'll say it.
If Wood is visiting might not be far fetched to think something is up with current guard situation

I think that was on the minds of a lot of people.   With mentions of Wood visiting, and Turner being interested, it couldmean something is up.
But let's see how it plays out.

Wood could also be visiting with the intent of verbal-ling in the fall for 2013.   But this weekend?  That makes me think he may be 2012 eligible after all.

You have any idea moose? There is one player from last years team who we can absolutely not afford to lose. Im sure we all know who that is.
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

Maybe my style of candor was a bit to blunt. But I was just being realistic wasn't trying to be negative. Dangelo is the main option coming back after having a brilliant freshman campaign. His spot is set in stone why leave. On the other hand Phil's situation is a bit different

Losing Phil Greene would be terrible on many levels. All of you should know that.

Maybe Baldi DID take over Moose's account!

I really hope it's not Phil either. That kid played his a** off for the team and was getting better in my opinion. I honestly hope none of the fresh five transfer because I gained so much respect and love for them over the year. I want to see them accomplish some big things here.

Moose stirring the pot.

It's not stirring the pot when there are signs that could be pointing that way.   Stirring the pot is when you say something just to be provocative and start conversation.

This is more speculation.   Because it's not that unreasonable to think Wood and Turner wouldn't be on the radar if we had a 3 guard rotation that was set in stone.

Couldn't have said it better.  Phil will be fine.  I'm thinking maybe they have Balamou prep.

Is it possible that they could be recruiting over Balamou?
