Not exactly sure about Marco but Amir and Dom are 3's. Darrick brings a different skill set then others. He is a smooth natural scorer who can hit from deep and also throw it down on you. Extremely long arms which will be perfect for our defense. Needs to add some muscle and work on his defensive principles but I think he could help this team next year off the bench. Haven't seen Felix live but he doesn't look quite ready to play right away. Not having Darrick next year wont kill us but he'd help. But obviously getting bigs are more important at this point. If he qualifies and Obekpa chooses us no reason we cant grab both

Agree with what all you guys are saying about a big man being a bigger necessity, and Darrick being a "luxury" in some ways.  That's all true.

I just don't think you can overstate how important it will be to have guys who can put the ball in the net.   Wood can create his own shot.  Don't overlook that.

Totally agree, and I hope so too.     Wood just needs to fill in a little bit.  If he were 20lbs heavier he'd be a top 100 recruit in everyone else's eyes. 
I want him now, but truth is a prep year is probably exactly what he needs.

I realize that Amir and Dom are three's.  My point was that, even without Wood, we'll have 3 guys who can fill both guard slots, Amir/Dom who can play the 3, and Marco who may be able to play both the 2 and 3.  That gives us 6 guys for those 3 spots.  Getting the 4th big is the final piece to balancing everything out IMO.

I'm guessing with new practice rules, guys can combine strength and conditioning on some days, plus the practices on others.  someone can clarify that.

Well 2nd session of Summer School at SJU starts July 9th right around when he says he is going to school.  So it makes sense.

Of course Amir Garrett was tweeting what date he was set to check in at SJU in September before he kept delaying the date and then we found out why.

Greene has also stated he'd be back in school in July.  I think we can expect all but Amir on campus.

Maybe not such a good idea.  Northwest Florida State went 29-2 last year, with FIVE freshmen guards, including JC All American Chris Jones, and All-Conference guard Trenchy Jackson.    Can't find any reports that any of the guards aren't back for their Soph seasons.  If Wood goes JC, think he needs guaranteed major minutes.   Not saying he can't get them there, but there are a LOT of good JCs that NEED gaurds....

Well it looks like he was not talking about SJU.  According to his twitter page he left yesterday for Miami.  Not sure if he is going to summer school down there or JUCO (But who goes to JUCO for the summer?).

Don't know Juco visiting rules, but maybe just checking out a school, like Miami Dade. Who knows with Darick!
