Monday marks the fourth meeting all-time between St. John's and William & Mary, and the first in 52 years. The Red Storm leads the series 3-0 with the last win coming in the 1959 Steel Bowl, 77-65 in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Lavin is expected to be watching the broadcast from his home in Manhattan, where he continues to recuperate from successful surgery on Oct. 6 to treat prostate cancer.

St. John's held its annual men's basketball media day on Friday. The players were all smiles -- many of them going through this for the very first time, on the verge of officially beginning their college basketball careers. But St. John's decided not to take a team picture.

Why? Because someone very important was missing.

Without further ado, your 2011-2012 St. John's Red Storm:

MALIK STITH: "POPS"
NURIDEEN LINDSEY: THE PLAYMAKER
D'ANGELO HARRISON: THE MARKSMAN
MOE HARKLESS: MR. DO-IT-ALL
GOD'SGIFT ACHIUWA: BIG MAN ON CAMPUS
SIR'DOMINIC POINTER: THE STOPPER
PHIL GREENE: "THE SILENT ASSASSIN"
JAMAL WHITE: THE TRANSFER
SAM SEALY: THE WALK-ON

For the last four years, St. John’s fans and foes have been accustomed to seeing the same names and numbers on the back of Red Storm jerseys. After nearly eight months since the Red Storm’s magical season came to an end, tomorrow this group will embark upon the new era of St. John’s basketball.

"Sophomore Nurideen Lindsey has the best temperament for the position but has been away from structured basketball for two years."
