While i don't think the staff employs this strategy, it certainly feels that way at times.

Did we ever run a box and 1 last season?  You would think that this would be the natural progression if the zone is getting beat up by a shooter, especially if your goal is to stay out of man to man and foul trouble.

I know Dunlap is a so-called defensive genius an all and i also understand that they are trying to implement a "system" to the program, but i have been a bit dismayed by the lack of any true adjustments, especially when we are getting beaten by open 3 balls.

I know its early but i would like to see some adjustments on the fly.

I would like to see a 1-3-1.  We have the length and mo is the perfect guy to get in top of that zone.

Dom has looked fine on the top of the zone

Very true but I think he'd be better running the baseline at the bottom of a 1-3-1...well he'd really be amazing anywhere.

Polee at the top and Pointer in the back of 1 3 1 would have been nice

Add in Garrett and you can rotate the two of them at either place.

It absolutely looks like the strategy is to let the opposing team's best player do whatever the f they want, and hope that works. I think it's time for the combover to take over. I've had enough of this zone crap. It's not our game. Nor should it ever be.

Agree poison.  Since we are going to lose anyway, we may as well employ more man defense. And what good is a zone that gives our opposing tems record setting shooting nights.
