How should this team disribute it's shots?

Right now these are the averages? What would you change?

Lindsey 9
Gift 9
Greene 6

  How about  4-5 more for each player and cut out the turnovers and 35 second violations?   Keep same percentages. 

I think the order from most to least is pretty fair. I think greene should take a few more, and lindsey a few less. Maybe 8 for each of them

Harkless needs to take even more shots. Like 20 per game. GG still needs to get the ball more often, but he also needs someone else to work with inside. It can't always be throw it into him, and expect him to score over 3 guys. Someone has to cut to the basket for him to dish to, and he has to think that is an option. He's like a black hole.

I also believe they should play like they were early in the season.  Hopefully, we see some of that when they return to the court.

In 2 years when this team is good it will be Harkless's team. He should shoot the most now, then Harrison Greene and Pointer and Lindsey about equal. GG nothing but put backs and dunks. Stith, nil. Anyhow the problem isn't the distribution of shots, its the distribution of misses.
 

I think Harkless and Harrison need to shoot more. 

For the sake of this argument, Lindsey and Gift need to shoot less.  What I mean by shooting less, they need to be more selective with their shots.  If the shots are high percentage and they take 10 or more, I'm ok with that. 

I agree with the comment that we should turn the ball over less and take shots earlier in the shot clock.

But you can call me crazy if you'd like but I also think Nuri needs to shoot more and stith could look for his shot slightly more as well.


I realize Malik was lost in the Detroit game and nuris been in a funk but they both have the ability to attack, and that will open up things for Moe and GG.  If they look for them. 

It doesn't matter who shoots more if we play like we have we'll lose.  But I think there's an identity to the team and a better sense of everyone's role when Nuri is the focus of our offense.  It goes without saying he has to play with more confidence and play smarter for that to work though.

Nuri driving like a nut is a quick fix that will yield horrendous long term results.  Nuri needs to learn the game and get away from the "streetball" he is playing.  If he does not develop a pull up/shooting game, the net level he will play at will be Rucker ball.
