Bad job by the Sports Information staff.

There is no news neither on the official page nor in twitter.

Garrett doesn´t appear in the roster yet.

Perhaps because it is not official yet.  I'm sure the official word will come sometime tomorrow though.

I'm really impressed by this young man's drive to live by his word. He said it himself. Good for you kid.

"Garrett's father also said that the plan remains to play baseball in the Cincinnati Reds minor league system this summer. Garrett was selected in the 22nd round of the draft and received a bonus in excess of $1 million spread over five years."

How can he play amateur basketball if he received a signing bonus?  He's only going to play this season?

I'm happy he's with us but confused.

the ncaa allows you to be a pro in one sport and an amateur in another.

Great news on Amir. He gives another athlete and another body that can play down low if needed.  Although, I don't think Amir will be a savior he will help a depleted team and his attitude and determination will be a substantial upgrade from Nuri. Hopefully Amir will dress for tonight and we can see him in a little action.  As has been said by other posters he is in game shape and could certainly play man defense.  After a string of bad news this is another good day to be a johnnies fan!

An early Christmas gift!  I think Amir's presence will give the team a substantial boost of confidence.  He's such a freak of an athlete, I don't think he'll have any conditioning issues if he starts playing for the team asap, but I think he'll need some time to adjust to the speed and size of the college game (like all of our current freshmen!).
