Gotta let the leash of these kids Coach Dunlap.

Let them play man D 'stead of this awful zone that simply dont work.

And run, run, run on offense.

Play to win not to foul out.

23 to 5 run to close the half.

We scored 5 pts the last 11 mins.  Being a St. Johns fan im used to that.

Texas Pan, playing with a lot of confidence.

That's one thing I hate about the zone we try to play. Every team we play hits a few shots early, then have all the confidence in the world to just shoot, shoot, shoot.

Happens just about every game.

Not much positive to say about that first half.

Texas Pan Am is as bad a team as there is in D1.

You can throw out the excuses about being short-handed, being freshmen, etc..etc..   We should beat this team by 20 even in our worst season.

You gotta wonder if our guys practice. In the half court they do everything slow. They are a bad team, and we can only hope they get better as the season moves on.

Can't get the game. Probably a good thing.

This team reminds me of Gene Hackman's in hoosiers.  Its like they can't practice anything on offense until they figure out how to play their silly zone.  As a result, we look terrible on both ends of the floor.

I'm confident that we rally back and win this game by 10 +.  Why?  I have no idea.  I just am.

We need our coach back.  Unfortunately it is not in his or anybody else's hands.  Sucks.  Nothing we can do about it though.

How are we so bad in the half court?   I know we have an athletic team that likes to run, but these guys have been playing organized basketball their whole lives.  How many games did they play a year in HS/AAU 100?  more?

With 4 top 100 HS recruits on the court and a JUCO all american power forward, we should be able to out score Texas Pan Am.   I don't know how to explain this....

Except Hickory had guys that could put the ball in the hoop without dunking it

Harrison is lost out there, zero confidence. Picks up his dribble, than looks around to pass it

The do practice. But they dont practice against D1 players. Problem wit the roster.

So how long we going to keep using the "we need lavin back" excuse?

Honestly, is he really going to make THAT much of a difference?  All last season we all spoke about how dunlap was the tactician, and how dunlap was the main guy teaching these kids and now all of a sudden he's nothing?

I love lavin...it was a great hire for numerous reasons.  But I don't think we are losing to PanAm cause he's not on the sidelines.

Finally have the game come thru on espn3 up here in albany...only to see a 40 to 32 score vs against us w/God's Gift having 1/2 our points...
what the heck happened here? It's hard to believe that at home in cozy CA we are losing to a team that hasn't won a road game in two years!
We are so much better than we are playing...I sure hope.
