Providence - Predictions
« on: December 26, 2011, 03:01:46 PM »
??? Haven't seen any predictions for Tuesday's game yet. Looked up stats for Friars on Big East site.
They have advantages:
   PG Consul  apprx 7 A 2 T/O pg
    Experience
    Depth
Hoping we can press them into many turnovers otherwise we in trouble.

Unfortunately agree with Baldi re council and had the exact score in mind that Poison predicted. However I would give us some hope if we can come up with an inspired effort before a raucous home crowd.

Hear he has a date with Ed Cooley after the game. Something about a Turkish Bath House. ;D

No idea what to expect.  We should lose based on our experience and roster defecits, but D'Angelo and Gift seem to be clicking.  If we can get a big effort from Moe and stronger performances from Greene, Pointer and Garrett, providence is not an unbeatable team.  Council is good, but we shouldn't lose games because of one guy. I say shouldnt not cant. Moe's numbers are better which says that our one guy can be as effective.

I'm not ready to concede victory to the rest of the Big East just yet.  If ever there is a time to have our guys step up,then it's now.  Dont want to make a prediction here as I thnk Prov. should be favored for sure.  Just hoping for us to go into "season" mode.

Read something last night that 75% of their minutes are played by 4 players.  So while they might have more scholarship players it might be thin in terms of what Cooley trusts.

Yes I saw that also but their 6-8 spots go 6'8 - 6'9. In a battle of the boards or fouls it will be tough for us. I like the way we've hung in and battled back in the second half of Fordham and Texas. We're going to have to put together a full game to win this one. Mo & Harrison have to be ready from the tip.
