Did not expect this. They played aggresive, excellent D. Mo was unbelievable and Harrison wasnt far behind. .Harrison had 7 assists and 0 TOs. Im wondering if he could be the next Hardy, thinking that he could play PG. Chemistry looks good and Garrett is blending right in. Although there is a big difference in Garretts attitude and Lindseys.

What a game!!  Great job by Moe, D'Angelo and the rest of our guys.  The more I watch the team, the more I think our poor performance during the 3 game losing streak was more a direct function of Lindsey killing team chemistry, and less about growing pains/lack of depth.  In any event, I'm just glad we can all collectively exhale and bask in the glow of a thorough beat down of a BE opponent.  Bring on UConn!!

Idk who could have predicted this.  I'm ecstatic that things finally clicked (at least for one game).   But, I don't know how anyone could have predicted that we would breakout in this fashion.  Detroit, Fordham, and Texas PA showed no indications we could perform like this - and against better competition.

Breakout game for Johnnies. Mo is ultra smooth. Best thing about tonight's game was mental outlook of team-played confidently and fearlessly. This can be a fun season yet.

Walkons get in?

Congratulations for the fantastic win.

But the walkons should have played. If they donĀ“t play when we are winning by more than 20 points...

This team finally showed what they are capable of. I definitely did not expect this kind of performance. This game could be a turning point in our season.

Moe is an absolute beast, we can only hope he stays two years. He reminds me so much of Kevin Durant, hopefully NBA scouts don't see the same thing (at least not for a few more years).

Garrett is starting to find his place in the offense a little better, defense too.

D'Angelo has lost any nerves he may have had in the first 9 games. He looks so confident out there, fearless on the defensive end as well. Not to mention 7 assists!

I think Gods'gift will be more of a role player against BE teams, we will not be able to rely on him offensively like we can against weaker competition.

Greene is looking good at the PG spot. The offense ran smoothly when he was at the point.

Sir'Dom is a defensive beast. Still has yet to find his offensive game, but it will come eventually. Just has to keep working on that shot. Great to have on the floor.

Stith...well, he's still Stith.

I know it's just one game, but man, we looked real good. If we can play even close to that level, we should be able to hang with most teams. Lets face it, we're young, but very talented. We are not going to play like this every night. There will be many rough games this season in the BE, but there will also be some where we play like this. A fun season could still be in store for this team after all.

"Oh what a night..." in Queens.

We played so fu*k*ng well.

Every bit as enjoyable as last seasons memorable high points.  Great, great night for the red and white.

this was a real season high point.  remember, providence isn't crap.  they're solid and well coached.  plus we NEVER seem to beat them.

these guys are mind bogglingly quick and exhibit a great defensive intensity considering there are only seven players...and stith won't be getting many minutes.

for the first time, i think we have a chance against the ranked teams in the conference plus duke.  not to say we'll win most of these games...but we're not the washington generals either.

beat uconn!!

What I'd give to shelac Uconn 2 years in a row.  They're deep and have lots of big guys.  Will be tough.  Rough matchup.

Problem with Pukon is when Moe glides by his defender he's got Drummond to deal with also. Chance to pile up those assists. This team has risen to challenges. Would've preferred this game be played a month later but it's a good measuring stick to play the champs on the road.

Providence has some talent but they did not play well.  Council is better than he showed last night.  Our guys played about as well as they can play.  I can't wait til Garrett gets his feet under him.  It will be a lot of fun watching garrett and pointer in that zone.

now on to our continued dominance of uconn.

Like D'Angelo said the defense gave them the offense. It all started at that end.

The zone clicked.

Mo grabbed his hamstring when he came out at the end. Muscle cramp?

I was thinking the same thing about D'Angelo...he looked really good penetrating and feeding the big men...could be the next D Hardy...hope Dunlap and Lav saw that too

Obviously Moe and 'lo were great last night...but I was really impressed with Phil Greene.  Kid is a streaky outside shooter but he was dicing up Providence during stretches of the game.   Looks like he has a chance to be a legit Big East PG, if he isn't one already.
