1st- we need 6+ recruits not 5.We saw 1st hand what happens when you dont fill up your roster.I expect/hope 1-2 might come from JUCO ranks.I'm VERY VERY concerned that needing 6- we had NONE sign early. If we need 6- we should be in the running/listed with 15+Scout has us listed with only 3-4we need 3 bigs. We need 2 pgs.At this point, I would guess that at least 3 kids who come next sept.- we've not even discussed yet ?
I'll guess Sampson,Obepka,Wood and a juco. Orlando Sanchez? Save the rest for next class
I don't think we get a pg(unless juco) in this class. If Lavin gets 3 recruits who can contribute right away, good to go
I don't think we get both Sampson and Gathers
I predict we get up to 11 and go with a 4 man class in 2012 although it could be a 5 man class if Moe declares after his soph year. Sampson or GathersObekpaWood Juco or transfer PG or another 4/5

Sampson or GathersObekpaWood Juco or transfer PG or another 4/5 Ted, you are the closest here so far:)As for Moe, PLEASE stop with the NBA talk!! I know Moe and he will be the last person to tell you he is anywhere near being ready for the NBA! Personally, I think by the end of his junior year if he gains 20 lbs, and believe it or not, he may actually grow another inch, he may be ready but the coaches have been trying to make him mentally more aggressive but his personality is very conservative.....no tats, no bullshit....just an all-around great kid.

One thing about Moe is that he has good people in his ear and is going to make the right decision when he is ready. We don't need a star studded recruiting class for 2012-2013. We need one blue chip big and rotation guys. With some size our current core could compete right now.
We are going after some unreal talent for 2013 and beyond. no scrubs. As for right now, had we had Karr and Nuridee not self-destructed, this team would have done some damage and be borderline NCAA. Unfortunate that winning 12 games now is the only outlook with 5 freshmen and a JC playing 98% of the minutes. Next year, if SJ is not top 5 in the Big East, I would be shocked.
if lavin returns this season all the dominoes will begin to fall. One of Sampson, gathers, opekba will commit and two more will follow. I think well jump quickly on some de-commits in the spring, as well as some late bloomers

This year especially looks like there could be a HUGE coaching turnover at the end of the year....
