I already gave you credit for being one of the first to bring up Lavin's name. That actually brings your being correct total up to two in over 10,000 posts. Not bad ;)

You were more positive about your 2nd favorite program under Norm though. But hey someone has to balance out all the delusional people on these boards though.

Yes I was more positive. Norms guys were easy to root for even though we killed them on a daily basis. Not saying I dont like this team at all, but I hate all the ineligible and questionable character stuff

Questionable character stuff?      That's just inflammatory bs.

But, in Baldi's defense (and I take no joy in saying that) he's not wrong about the environment of volatility that has enveloped our program.  And I assume that's what he was refferring to when he said "ineligible stuff"

Polee transferring, Jevon decommiting,  3 ineligible recruits we sent to the same summer classes, Sampson then decommiting, Pelle  then decommiting, Gathers decommiting,, Nuri transferring, and now Wood being either inelidgible or decommiting depending on how you look at it.

Lavin had surgery; true, but much of this happened before that.   Decommitments and eligibility issues are a problem at every school; true, but this has all happened in 8 months time.  Nuri was a cancer and/or uncoachable; likely true, but he also had some talent and was a warm body for a team with 6 players.   Jevon turned out not to be the player SJU wanted; possible, but then we struck out on KA, Reinhardt, etc.

My point is, individually there are plausible reasons for everything that's happened.   But all in 8 months time?    Wood may never be eligible, and so this may not be a true "decommitment", and as an isolated incident it seems inconsequential.  But all we've seen since Lav got here is one question mark after another.

In the one year Lavin's been here he's gotten commitments from 13 recruits,  7 of them have rescinded their association with St Johns in one way or another.  I'm not suggesting anything, those are just the facts.  And that's not typical of a well-run college program.  You can point to Kansas having three freshmen ineldigble this year as well, but they also didn't have 2 guys transfer out, and five verbals decommit; all within less than a year.

Hopefully this is just an aberration.

Hey Baldi.. would Lance have been easy to root for if good old Norm landed The Chosen One? You and ill will should start your own site where you can be free to spew your own nonsense without being harassed by the rest of us unrealistic posters.

OK.. So say they add 2 or 3 mid major recruits to round out the roster.  Now what do you expect out of the team?

That is true. Norm wanted "Born Ready" more than anything. He f'd it up. It's not like he avoided thugs. In this case, he wanted the thug, and was turned down in favor of the bustling thriving cultural Mecca that is obviously Cincinnati, Ohio.

First of all I wish Coach Lavin a healthy and speedy recovery.  However with that being said, Coach Lavin needs to start righting the ship fast otherwise we could be searching for another new head coach again real soon.  This program is nothing short of a complete mess right now or so it appears.

This is going nowhere.  I can't wait until we win one again and everyone thinks we are going to the ncaas again
