No kidding? So why did posters get on me when I posted over a month ago that Lavin wasn't coming back? And why was bball fan criticized when he said players told him they were unhappy. Were those predictions or out of the horses mouth?

Because of the cringe worthy way you post.  Pretty sure you could figure that out on your own.. Dave even spelled it out for you.  I personally want to hear all info regarding the team, both positive and negative.  What most posters on this board do not enjoy is the drama you try to stir up every chance you get.. It gets old fast.

Ask them.  Not me :)

LOL,Nah they'll just say we're stirring the pot because they don't like what they just read. Probably the same dudes who were sweating Lenn Robbins the other day when he said Sampson was leaning towards St Johns. You'd  think he was Walter Kronkite

Pretty much.

Baldi is trying to mock this guy, but it's an internet version of it.

FWIW I defended you back then. Some posters just don't want to believe that bad things can happen to us.

But also your two pieces of info "from the horses mouth" weren't consistent with each other.  One was that Lavin had made a decision to sit out the rest of the season and the other was that he was leaving the program all together to go back to Cali.

If you say Dean Wormer or whomever told you that..  I'll believe you.  But why wouldn't you ask the second person about the first rumor you heard, "Oh, really? Because I heard coach was ...."   Both couldn't be simultaneously true, so which were we supposed to think was the real info? I think that's why people got on your case.

What isn't consistent about both rumors? Both ended with Lavin not coaching, and guess what? But this has been beaten to death so

Disappointed. Didn't see the game because I was in class but I really thought this was a very winnable game.

Don't get so offended Baldi.  Didn't you ever read the "Boy who Cried Wolf" when you were a lil baldi?
When you post as much nonsense as you do ( to your own admission), of course people aren't going to believe you when you have a "real"scoop.

I dont wanna say this but jumping off this ship is pretty understandable if u are a player who wants to win and play for a Div level coach

This is just crazy talk. I'm pretty sure any poster here with the name Ill in his handle must be nuts

That's like the 5th time in this thread you have referenced or alluded to me...your obsession is disturbing.  But I think it points to the fact that most posters here know that most of what I say is a fair assesment of the team, they just don't want to admit it.  If my points/opinions were completely absurd, I would just be ignored.

There is really nothing to be pleased with regarding this team.  Even Harkless looks like he's regressing.  DeAngelo is still the real deal imo, and so is harkless, but how can anyone not be worried about these kids transferring?  It's only going to get worse from here when we start getting embarased even further against the likes of Duke and Syracuse.

It was a demoralizing loss, so sullen body language of our guys not so hard to understand.  There will be better days in the future and what these guys do together will mean even more because they have experienced losing like this.

Experience as in getting embarassed by South Florida?  If they are "gaining" anything from these games, it's the desire to get the hell out of here unfortunately.

Simply nice personic comments.  How do you call yourself a fan?  Thankfully all players don't want to leave just because the team lost a few games.

Oh really?  So you think these players enjoy get their faces smashed in by lower-tier big east teams?  You think these kids enjoy playing for Dunlap, instead of the coach they came here to play for?  You enjoy watching our kids sulk and hang their heads on a nightly basis?

I didn't realize being a fan meant fabricating positives and ingoring reality.

Is it really that unrealistic to think that some of our players aren't enjoying playing for this team/school?

- The team stinks
- The coach is recovering from cancer
- minimal fan support at games (just turn on espn and compare the crowds/atmosphere for most major D-1 schools to ours.)
- no recruits signed for next year

I think DeAngelo and Moe would sacrifice some playing time to be on a winning team.

Lower-tier Big East teams?  Keep looking at the jersey of USF.  USF is 4-2 and have only lost to UConn (by 3 points) and on the road to Notre Dame.  They whipped 'Nova on the road and beat Seton Hall last Friday.

-SJU's fan support is better than EVERY school in the PAC-10 except Arizona.  It's not nearly as bad as made out to be.
-our team is having a tough time of it, but is still ranked higher than Pitt.  Maybe Dixon should shut it down?
-they are all freshmen.  They need to earn wins, not walk into them.  They will in time.
-we have Branch coming in next year and will have several more.

All of these complaints are more fan related than anything else.  I really hope these kids don't read these boards and the negative blowhards like yourself.  They need to have more perseverence than some of the "fans" here.

I totally agree! We stink in the Big East! We cannot win a game! Our coach has an ugly face! Our players sulked at the end of this latest loss! We are going to lose another player as great as the great Khiem Birch! We are losing to lower-tier Big East teams! There is no help on the horizon! The fan base is pissed!

OH WAIT! I thought you were referring to 0-6 Pittsburgh! My bad!

LOL things have gotten so pathetic around here that people are saying, "hey, atleast we're not 0-6."  You guys would make great CEO's of companies.

NEWSFLASH:  Pitt has established itself as a premier program in this country.  they've been to, what- 9 straight ncaa tournaments?

St. John's is no longer a premier program...Pitt is, and can afford to have a down season.

SJU's fan support is borderline embarassing.  Last season it was pretty good, but 90% of the time I can literally communicate to a friend sitting on the other side of the Garden and have a full convo.  Compare our fan support to UConn, Syracuse, Pitt, hell even Rutgers' games have a better atmosphere than going to the garden!!

We can't afford to have a down season? We just had a a down DECADE... we have nowhere else to go but up.

Things aren't going swimmingly, no question, but I'm 100x more confident that we're moving in the right direction than I have been at any time since the end of the Fran era.
