Question about Sunday's game
« on: January 17, 2012, 10:26:10 AM »
No, my question is not when did Gtown start playing home games at the Garden or when will Phil Green hit a jumper.
My question is does anyone know what that stupid chant the Gtown fans were doing all game long especially at the end?

Another thing about Sunday's game. Gtown fans in my section kept making fun of Gods Gift's name. This is the same school that had Reuben Boumtje Boumtje and that Ja Ja Ja guy on the same team no?

What is that? I have gone to Gtown games before, in fact I went to a game in Gtown when I visited a friend who went there. I had never heard it before. Is it new? Granted when I went to the game at Georgetown I was 19 or 20 and drunk and don't remember much about  that weekend.

They've been using that chant for several years.

No need to make Gift's name. There is so much else to choose from regarding how badly he played.

The phrase together is generally translated into English as "what rocks!", though other translations have suggested "such rocks!" or "great rocks!" or even "what rocks?" as a question.

Undersized, out physicalled. I guess he got tired of Sims landing on his head after every board.

I  am sure the staff has tried to impart this but they need to get him to go right up on dunk opportunities. Brings ball down every time.

To do that he would first have to catch the ball cleanly... ::)

Lets remember that Gift may not have even been a starter on this team had Pelle and Sampson qualified. He, like Greene, have been forced to do too much. Gift has had his bad games but overall he is as good as advertised. With some help next year and playing about 12-13 minutes a half, he will be a solid contributor.
