Closer to home, the Red Storm have their eyes on Thaddeus Hall (Quinn's evaluation of Hall at the PSAL semis), Florida guard Carlos Morris, and others. And don't discount St. John's as a player for a fifth-year senior who would be able to transfer to the program for a year while taking graduate classes.

Cue LJSA who is the master at compiling a list of those 5th year players.

Just a quick question. What are the rules (not ethics) regarding reaching out/speaking to a recruit who has only verballed but hasn't signed yet?
In barber shops its ok
LOL. I should of remembered that one.

Here is the 2012 Rivals 150 list of guys unsigned (except Tobey). By all means, I am not saying we are in the hunt for all (or any) of them. However, it might give you something to work off of to think about guys that we maybe going after although some of us don't think we can land (or think the staff are actually pursuing).

Tobey is from Monroe, NY and not Ramsey, NJ.  That was where his first of three high schools, Don Bosco, was located.  They raid all of our size in basketball and take a lot of our guys in football.

I live in ramsey, about a mile from Don Bosco. Some incredible high school sports over here. Their football team is a machine. Tyrell Biggs ( Pitt) was a hooper at DBP.

Would the addition of Morris and hall at this point be an overload of guards?

I think this makes getting both HIGHLY unlikely.  I think clearly Morris is the target.  He can play both 2 guard and wing and Hall is most likely to do a prep year anyway.

Hall likely to prep a year.

On the contrary I'd love hall after a prep year. But def Morris right now

I think Felix will be more of a stretch 3 than a 2.

Tim Abromaitis would be a pretty sweet 6th year senior to get...doubt that happens though.

Can't
BE to BE

Nor do I think he will even get 6th year.  He was suspended by NCAA remember at one time.  Must be on the naughty list.

Yea he's def got that reach to guard bigger guards but from a rebounding perspective he's so small. But I agree he'll def be able to guard 3's

I think Yancy Gates has a 9th year of eligibility. Maybe we can get him for a year

what 5th year Sr. are they talking about?!

It's written pretty cryptically. Can't tell if they mean Morris or Hall.

Yes he can.  If you graduate college within 4 yrs but haven't exhausted your eligibility you can transfer and play immediately.
