I'm not usually one for moral victories, but they showed promise here.

I really think this team is NCAA Toruney material with just the addition of Branch.  Sky is the limit if we can add just 1 or 2 of our targets!

Not a fan of moral victories....but I'm very proud of what I saw today!!

can say being at the game today was amazing.  I have been to the last three games  and this team is getting better by the minute.  For as much young talent as we have, a game like today we should of been blown out the water based on the following.  1 being on he road in a hostile environment, 2 more depth, 3 equal to more talent than we have,  4 possibly the greatetest coach in our era against our head assistant and 5  winning experience.  Yet we played like the better team in sec half. Unfortunately our defIcit was to much to overcome.  The crowd on multiple occasions had to stand up to get life back into the duke players.  We lost by 7 but i will tell u what a few free throws made and a couple of fast breaks in second half that we got sloppy at, we win this game.   We came out second half shell shocked which is why I feel mentally we fell behind the way we did.  Then all of a sudden a light went on and we got after it.  For all those who are not patient with these guys relax cause what I saw today and the way Lavin recruits these guys are not ur mom and pop teams of old,  These guys with a few new guys are gonna be national attention getters and a final 4 is sooner than we think

Great effort by our guys.  We really needed a true beast down low today - mason plumlee was a terror on the boards.   When a bunch of frosh are down 20+ at Cameron and fight to make it a game rather than get blown out of a gym, that is about the only time ill indicate a moral VICTORY.  It takes a special bunch to do what these guys did today and I'm proud of them. 

Further notes, Moe has gotta stay one more year.  This is a loaded draft as is, give yourself a chance for top 5 or top 10 after next year. 

D'Angelo is a foiur year player - scottie reynolds comparisons are pretty good.

Austin Rivers is insane if he leaves after this year.  Not ready.  Needs to learn to be more of a passing PG - is this his way to rebel from Dad?

As goofy as he is, I'd take Mason Plumlee boarding for me down low off the bench if I was a good NBA towards the end of the first round - Celtics, Heat, Dallas, Orlando, etc.

I think a great goal for these guys would be to get into the semifinals of the BE tourney.  Quarterfinals would be a big success, but semifinals is a good "reach" goal, IMO. 

Good post kid. Agree on all points, if Jorts can make the Knicks, Mason has a shot too. Semi finals would be a killer year and I too can see it happening. But I think Pitt wins it all.

I was concerned that Amir will not improve as quickly as others because he will play baseball in the summer while the other guys are improving on their basketball games.

Kob, did Dean Wormer tell you this?

Regardless, it means Lavs needs a big haul in this 2012 class. 

If he ends up a baseball player, that's fine with me. Still, it certainly seems like he's going to try and develop into a future pro in both sports. That's pretty cool IMOP. It's also a neat story for the school. When was the last time anyone cared about a St.John's player?
