I believe he is going to visit Canarias basketball academy. Here is the roster

http://www.cbacademy.org/index.asp?modulo=05&idioma=en

They have a 7-1 240 center named Boris Bojanovsky

Is that a gut feeling or fact?

Also that isn't a roster that is an army of kids. :)

Lavin tweeted with the HC of Canaris, Rob O, about seeing him.   So that is obviously one stop, there are others though.

Dunlap has been to Europe I believe the last two years.  So it has always been an option.

Who has come out of that school?

Thats not where we got Wait from, right?

Look at SHU, half of their roster is made up of CBA kids.  If you get the right one it can work out.

That was my thinking.  The Hall kids aren't that great really.  Wondering who before them maybe.

So being the inquisitive mind I am..
Do you think Dunlap was in Europe?  That tweet was MArch 24th.   Or was their coach over here at a clinic or something and ran into coach Dunlap?
I think Dave said Dunlap was teaching a clinic at the Final 4, but that probably would have been a week or so later.

Regardless, it's good to hear the staff is doing everything it can to field the type of team we expect of SJ hoops.
The European prospects really intrigue me, and at the very least it opens door.  Even if this trip doesn't yield tremendous results, it puts them in touch with coaches who might steer recruits towards SJU in a year or two.

This was posted a few days before the Dunlap reference. Guess he was there.

Maybe Dunlap saw something worthwhile and Lavin is going back to try to close the deal?

The names Nerlens Noel and DaJuan Coleman are being dropped in questions to Rob Orellana on Twitter.

Lavs was serious when he talked about SJ's being Int'l - he will make solid inroads with big men abroad over the upcoming years.
Not sure when, but it's coming with some regularity.

For Paris tourney, check out roster for USA team, includes Jermaine Lawrence. Savin Goodman is definitely there.

Sorry about that, Moose.

By the way - looking at those rosters I have no idea what the age/ year cutoff is supposed to be, if there is one. CBA is playing with Fahro Alihodzic, who is committed to Nebraska out of JUCO, a former Fordham player.  (Alihodzic, it looks like, may not be coming to Nebraska - hasn't spoken with new coach and was booted from his JUCO team in December http://www.omaha.com/article/20111230/BIGRED/712309878
