Two in a row, on only 2 days rest.  Nice win.  Garrett showed me something tonight. Big improvement. Too bad he didn't have a full season, he's only getting better.

Our guys looked tired for most of the second half but hung in there for the W.  Agree with boo3 and others--great job by Amir--best game of the season for him thus far.  Just think if he started hitting his stride in late December as opposed to now due to the lost semester.  Harkless looked like he had no energy, and at the end, he looked like he just lost the game.  Hopefully, it's just fatigue.  Would be great if we can win at least one more BE game, but with ND at home and Pitt and Rutgers on the road, it's going to be tough.

Team gutted it out.  Nice win...Garrett stepped up big time.   Flashed a sweet FT stroke.

Two additional players and they would have won by at least 20

Moe looks the most worn down out of our 6 guys but has played the most minutes this year. I assume he comes back next year and with an extra 10 pounds of muscle and playing 7 less minutes a game, his stats are going to skyrocket.

2 in a row! Almost forgot what that felt like. 5 days offs should help these guys. Good win! Good night!

Moe was a man on the boards tonight.

Moe was a man on the boards tonight.

Was at the game and agree with Moe's rebounding tonite. However, fatigue aside, he was a bit mopey and surly. He snapped at several team members a few times. Not a big deal, but out of character.

Moe was a man on the boards tonight.

He grabs rebounds like the ball is a "spalding"!!

Dont blame him he is banging down low with guys much bigger then him for 40 minutes a game

Just back--while the lads may have looked tired on TV, they fought through it.  they demonsrated that they have no quit.  they expended wonderful energy tonight.  While Mo did not score like we expect (spoiled by earlier games), he did a great job for our undersized squad.  one thing that doesn't show up in the boxscore is his help in bringing the ball up (except for one major boo-boo late in the game).  he is the glue in getting the ball in and playing the trailor against the press.  always under control and so smooth for his size.

Earlier in the season, the team was failing to execute versus the press but you can see the growth in this area.  only 11 turnovers tonight down from 18 in the first game.  also seeing some improvement in in defending the wings (6 of 31-20% for DePaul tonight versus 40+% in first game)

back from the game...
We are doing a better job of closing out on shooters but Depaul missed some wide open 3s.   6-31 is unbelievably awful.   And Moe and Dom need to tighten up their handles.  Were built to run but sometimes their lack of ball control keeps us from being as efficient as we should be in the open floor.

But what effort by our guys tonight.  Great hustle all game long, and you know they must be worn out playing 40 mins each on a days rest.   Nice win.   Hope they get some quality practice in this week and come out firing against ND

They read scouting reports that said we are vulnerable to the 3.  It didn't occur to them that if they are missing them, they should stop taking them.  They also had a size advantage inside that they didn't try to capitalize on.  They also tried to make us rush---and it worked.  We played a sloppy game.  In the end, we came out on top.

Highlight of the game: in the second half the camera's on Louie, sitting with Alex Evans and Ron "the cancer" Rutledge. A blond in sunglasses walks down the aisle and Louie ogles her ass. He leans over and says something to Evans and Rutledge, who laugh, and Rutledge gives the ass a bug eye of appreciation.
