Those back to back UNLV teams were terrific but they were not very deep especially the 90-91 team that lost to Duke in the National Semi's. I believe they went about 7 deep bringing Elmore and 1 other player off the bench to supplement the five of LJ, Augmon, Anthony, Hunt and Ackles.
The team that did not win it that to me was as dominant as any especially from a BCS conference (which UNLV was not from) was the 98-99 Duke team that lost only 2 games that entire year and just murdered EVERYONE except SJU in that tremendous game at MSG that year.
They lost to Cincy by 2 at the Great Alaska Shootout final and then ran the table the rest of the year until their loss to UCONN in the National Finals. 37 and freaking 2. 19-0 in the ACC (16-0 regular season 3-0 ACC Tourney). And just destroyed teams. And look at that talent, I mean they had a top 5-10 pick on the bench playing 10 minutes a game-Corey Maggette. Brand, Langdon, Avery, Battier, Nate James, Chris Carrawell etc.
