Tony Chiles is at Carrington's game today. Staff realizes, IMO, that Whitehead will be tough to get, so this is a decent option.

You are right.. And hope he is keeping his eye on mike Williams as well.

How would you rank the NYC PG's of 2014 and 2015?

I would be terrible at ranking these kids because some of them don't play pg now.. But most likely will at the next level.  But I do love Mckennon and mike Williams.   I also think Atkinson and Tayvon Ginyard are really good as well.  Then you have kids like Newkirk and Desure Buie who should be point guards.   I'm sure I'm forgetting kids. But the only sure thing pg to me is Mckennon .

Why aren't they playing PG?  I saw some Loughlin videos on YouTube and Williams wasn't starting. Names you mentioned like Ginyard, Buie and Williams don't seem to have big names on them.  Out of the '14 PG's is Newkirk worth a BE scholarship? CJ Davis?  Anyone in Jersey for the '14 class?  I've heard great about McKennon as well but just wondering about '14 if there are options at all?

Williams starts and I believe is the leading scorer on Loughlin. .. And I don't think any of them are big east kids right now with the exception of Mckennon.  I'm sure jersey has some 14 options .. But I haven't seen any this year.  I still think we look elsewhere for 14' and 15'
Mike Williams starts for loughlin but is more mid major, can't forget about 6'6 pg Marvin prochet  from boys and girls, CJ Davis is big east good on some days and some days he's not, forget 14' and 15' though the studs are in 16' devonte green is the next biggest thing coming out IMO along with ray salnave at Cardozo. Chris Atkinson is overrated and 17 years old I like his backcourt mate Tim quashie more.

B&G kids scare the heck out of me.  Are they ever eligible?
Of course there not eligible, there just talented

Happy certainly has seen Carrington more than me and I respect his opinion a great deal. That said, in the three times I have seen Carrington, I believe he would be a solid addition. He has good size, will fill out more IMO and has a nice upside. Agree with Happy that he is not a PG, but still well worth recruiting.

I love Williams' toughness and winning attitude and hope he evolves into a BE level player, but I think he has a way to go. Could be wrong.

Prochet is good  but he will most certainly be a wing in college.. Green is the real deal.. Saw him the other day vs STjohn the baptist and he played well.. Kid Ginyard on STJB played better.  I havent seen this Cardozo kid you are talking about.. but i heard Wadleigh has a freshmen that is no joke.  Williams is a mid major player.. but he can shoot and is built for college now.. this is why a number of big schools are sniffing.

Would Green be inclined to go to NC, like his brother?

That freshman your talking about is rahmel he's actually one of my kids, coach gave him some burn and he took advantage of it. Hes nothing super special yet, I got about 6 kids that are either just as good as him or better all 16'. To be honest the city is loaded in there freshman class. This kid ray is special though, he's playing jv right now per his mom and if that wasn't the case he'd be starting on varsity. I've seen tayvon score 43 this summer at island garden, the kid is good, I just gotta see how much he grows over the next two years. My thing with Williams is I think he has peaked already which leads me to believe mid major.

Probably, but that Is where lavins gift of gab and a couple tourney appearances in '14 and '15 have to come into play

Please let me know if you are going to catch a Cardozo jv game.  I just spoke to a AAU coach who said Ray is ridiculous .  Gotta check this kid out .

It would have been nice if the max was applied to Whitehead or Mcculough when available .

Come on.  This staff knows how to recruit.

We didn't lose McCullough to Syracuse because SJU wasn't visible enough.  Sometimes you just get beat.

The last week of recruiting during July the last two years Boeheim VOLUNTARILY decided not to go on the road to recruit.  This after missing time on the recruiting trail because of his Olympic duties as well.  He still landed top kids.

Again of the 5 final schools for Kyle Anderson UCLA was probably the LEAST visible of the 5 during his recruitment the summer of 2011 and guess who ultimately got him?
