I have only seen Carrington a few times, but like him. That said, Whitehead is in another class IMO. You can never judge from one game, but Carrington did have a great game against Rysheed Jordan earlier in year. All in all, I suspect Carrington would be a solid player for SJU.
"Vaux vs. Bishop Loughlin (NY)
In was a milestone night for Bishop Loughlin senior Khadeen Carrington, and it was capped off with a 74-56 blowout win over Vaux.
"Carrington, a highly-recruited combo guard from Brooklyni, recorded his 1,000th career point on a free throw in the third quarter. He scored 30 points on the night, displaying why he has come to be such a coveted prospect.
Carrington went toe-to-toe with Vaux senior Rysheed Jordan, who much like Carrington, has also caught the eye of many big time programs.
However, it may have been Jordan’s foul trouble that sealed the game for the Lions. After Jordan scored 13 of Vaux’s 22 points in the first half, he committed his fourth personal foul with five minutes left in the third quarter. Vaux coach Vic Otarola was forced to pull Jordan from the game with his squad trailing by five.
Bishop Loughlin took advantage of Jordan’s absence, ripping off a 16-7 run before Otarola subbed Jordan back in after just three minutes in fear of letting the game get out of hand. The Lions shot the lights out in the third quarter, scoring a whopping 34 points as opposed to Vaux’s 18.
A game that was once a one-point deficit for Vaux at halftime proved insurmountable following Bishop Loughlin’s third quarter surge. 21 of Carrington’s 30 points came in the second half".
