And as expected recently fired Bruce Weber has been offered his old job at SIU.  Be interesting to see if he takes it.  He may want to relax for awhile like Lavin and Gottfried did.  He is owed $3 million from Illinois, something that will probably be offset with a new salary if he took a job at another school.

He should work as a free consultant at SIU with a end-of-season bonus equal to what his salary would be there. And it should be conveniently timed to kick in one day after the expiration of his previous contract.

UCLA winning the '95 Championship.   Jim Harrick's 3 assistants were Steve Lavin, Mark Gottried and Lorenzo Romar.   Heckuva staff!

Think the guy at Murray St gets a shot at a big job?

Well Baldi you may have something.  Goodman is reporting that Miss St has contacted Steve Prohm.

And Goodman is saying that Smart is mulling an Illinois offer as we speak.  May have an answer as,early as tonight.

Doubt it, perhaps Mo Hicks.  I think Bobby is going to get it anyway.

I think Bobby stays there a while, too, because he presumably can afford to. And I hope he kicks ass and takes over Duke, because that coaching tree doesn't do much for me.

I've always thought that Brad Stevens will be the next coach at Duke.  I agree though, Collins and Wojo don't look like big time college coaches.  I don't know though.  They could be genius' for all i know.

Update from ESPN Insider

However, Jeff Goodman feels that there is a "99 percent" chance that Bobby follows Danny to Rhode Island. Meanwhile, the New York Times is reporting Bobby will make the trek to the Atlantic 10 as well, so who could be considered next? Jon Rothstein of CBSSports.com tweets that the Seahawks' search "should stop with Cincinnati assistant Darren Savino," who "has been huge for the Bearcats."

Besides Savino, a few other coaches whose names might be connected to the Wagner opening are Jared Grasso (Iona) and Fordham's Van Macon. We also wonder if Matt Abdelmassih of Iowa State would be considered (even though he has only been an assistant in Ames for one season).

Then Matt could stop recruiting Chris McCullough. Ha!

True. Somehow forgot about him. If the timing is right, I can see him at UConn, UNC, or Duke, but too not many other programs. Now that Crean seems to have Indiana headed in right direction, I'm not sure that job opens soon.
