Sendek can't last much longer, 3 players leave in a week and rumors Carson could be next

He is in trouble.  Probably won't get fired now but he is hanging by a thread after this year.  Him, O'Neil at USC and Bzdelik at Wake are facing realy daunting jobs in the face of mass transfers and public pressure.

He has 3 3 star recruits coming in next year, don't see how he (Sendek) survives even another full season with or without Carson.

Interesting since he is an example of what I talked about in a different thread of a coach jumping at another job that on the surface seems at best a lateral move.  Remember when he left NC St for ASU in 2006.  Most think he was pushed out even after 5 straight NCAA appearances.  Natives were getting restless with his inability to beat Duke and UNC and compete at an elite level.  He saw the writing on the wall and jumped.

He might need to do that again if given the opportunity.

Any admin on a similar level to ASU who gives him a shot after this is nuts IMO.

Trey Ziegler is leaving Central Michigan. I think someone mentioned him earlier since he was the coaches son he would bolt.

He's visiting Duke
And I heard UCLA as well being interested.

Duquesne sophomore guard T.J. McConnell is transferring out of the program.

11 ppg, 5.5 assists, 2.8 stls, and shot over 40% from three the last two years. Looks like a good player

It is going to be a crazy off season for transfers, especially considering the precursor in December

Evans Scott Daniels:
Was told Illinois was prepared to offer 5-6 year deal at around 2.7 million a year to Shaka Smart.

And he turned them down:

Maybe they make a run at Mick Cronin.  I would try to hire Gregg Marshall of Wichita.  Really like him.  But apparently the politics of recruiting in Chicago scares a lot of candidates.

Trey's shooting percentages (especially his 194-367 FTS - 52.9%) scares UCLA quite a bit - but Trey is considered family.   From  when Trey was 10 years old till he was 15, his dad was Ben Howlands assisstant, first at Pitt, then at UCLA.  Trouble is, he'd arrive as a Jr for the 2014 season.  Tyler Lamb would be a Senior, Norman Powell a Jr at the same position.  They'll likely go with a 2012 or 2013 frosh rather than a transfer at that position.

Marshall is great, and I think Illinois is a much better job than South Carolina, but I'm not sure he leaves. He apparently loves Wichita, where he's making $950,000. How far does $950,000 go in Wichita vs. 2.7 in Chicago? And would Illinois even offer Marshall the same deal?

SMU is reaching for the stars.  They are going to pursue Buzz Williams.  Now they do have money, no doubt.  Lots of oil money at SMU.  But obviously not a great job so not sure why Buzz would leave Marquette.  He turned down Oklahoma last year.

Has a BE team ever gone after another members coach? Is this appropriate?
