Apparently it is a done deal according to news sources.

Throwing it out to the board.
Is it easier to win at K-State or South Carolina?

K-State you have to compete with big in state rival in Kansas.  Baylor in rising in B12 ranks.  Isn't really a football school so spotlight can shine.

South Carolina you have no real in state rival.  Its harder to win in the SEC I think with teams like Kentucky/Florida/Tenn- Alabama/Arkansas having their moments and Vandy coming on of late  And then you have the 'old ball coach' and the football team to compete with.

Per Alex Kline: If Frank Martin takes the South Carolina job, look for Kansas State commit Robert Upshaw - a 2012 center - to re-open his recruitment.

California kid who was looking at some Big East schools. Just food for thought.

Has South Carolina been "relevant" in College hoops since Alex English and Mike Dunleavy Sr. left in NINTEEN SEVENTY SEVEN?

Eddie Fogler had back to back seasons of really good success at South Carolina after doing similar things at another SEC school, Vandy.

In 96-97 USC went 15-1 and won the outright SEC regular season title and got a 2 seed in the NCAA's.  They were knocked off in the first round by 15th seeded Coppin State.

He followed that up with a 11-5 season in 97-98 and I believe they were a 3 seed that year.  Only to be bounced in the 1st round again.  After that he had 3 more non-descript seasons before he was fired.

I went to Molloy.
When I think South Carolina in the early 70's... I think Kevin Joyce & Brian Winters.
I forgot English & Dunleavy were there too.

Would not shock me if USC tried to get back involve with him and Ian Baker.

According to Goodman Prohm of Murray St just signed an extension so it seems he is out of the running for Miss St.

Rumors are Mississippi native and current Kentucky assistant Kenny Payne could be a contender at Miss St.

Another job filled.  After being spurned by Andy Kennedy UAB has hired UNC assistant Jerod Haase:

I don't know but I think we've probably got Bourgault lined up right now.

Latest I've heard is Seth Greenberg likely to SMU.  Solid choice for SMU if so.

Greenberg denies any contact or interest with SMU.

Dunlap job watch starts again with the Colorado St. Job.

CSU interim coach Craig Smith, Rams’ assistant coach Niko Medved and St. John’s assistant Mike Dunlap are also thought to be candidates.

I don't think he's getting a job this year. Not saying he didn't do some good things, but there were a lot of holes in his overall performance. Losing 2 players mid season doesn't look good for Dunlap or Lindsey/Stith.

Are you seriously out of your mind.?

What he did with 6 - 7 scholarship players and no legit big man was a unreal. If anything he raised his profile in the coaching community even higher.

I am so tired of all this Lindsey left because of Coach Dunlap bulls*it. People really need to know what they are talking about.

+1--you can only coach those that want to learn; you can't make them do what they don't want to do

Absence of Lavin, not Presence of Dunlap.
