No doubt.  I think they should go up to New Rochelle and use the Iona gym during the spring.  Maybe you can ref some 3 on 3 games between Machado/Jones/Glover vs. Harkless/Harrison/Greene.

If the crowds get too big then we can move the games to Harlem.

These kids desperately need to rest their bodies, I doubt the staff wants to risk having them play more then they already have this year in a meaningless event.

Agreed.  Choz is right, the kids are dog tired.

Trust me they got oodles of experience logging the minutes they did this year including experience against big time teams on TV (Syracuse, Duke, Kentucky pre-season NIT etc.)  That is not an issue.

Plan is simple.  Start working hard over the spring and summer to get better, Lavin and co. do their part by bringing in re-inforcements and get ready to go to war in 12-13 and beyond.

1. They are not gonna play in a post season tournament
2. Phil Greene could learn how to break his man down by playing in dyckman and ruckers
3. Let them rest they played 7 guys almost all year cbi will not do anything for them

Exactly.  They have game play experience.  Now is time to refine skills in the gym.

I mean it's really a moot point at 13-19. Season's over. Sad but I had fun watching these kids bust ass every night. Some nights may have been super frustrating but it will be worth it in the future.

In the other thread on this topic,  everyone but me wanted them to play in one of these garbage tournaments.  What happened?  Everybody all of a sudden come to their senses?

Don't want to be accused of smoking something (again), so I am not trying to resurrect this thread in hopes of a CBI tourney bid with a 13-19 record.  But since I've never followed the CBI previously, I am curious to know if teams with losing records are invited to participate (?).  Just asking!

It was a joke in the other thread.  Yeah I'd love Noel and Shabazz or players of their caliber but there has been no indication were involved in either.  Your a good fan, no issues.

Haha.  I know that smoking thing was a joke, made me laugh too.  The only thing I take offense with is being called a "fan", since its more like being in a cult!

Look on the bright side Lapchich65, no one has been banned from JJ for being too positive.   ;)

While we turn our nose up at the CBI, Butler and Pitt have accepted a bid to play in it.

By choice or by exclusion--------from the NIT.  I thought pitts would want the chance to play in their "second home"; alas, that door may have been closed

They recognized that their season was worthy of a CBI bid. It was. Ours wasn't.
