Moe Harkless' last game for St. John's was definitely memorable. He's gone, and judging by the NBA people here, he'll be well received.

Can't imagine how bad this team will be if Moe decides to leave.

What starting 5 of GG, Pointer, Garrett, Harrison and Branch doesn't do it for you?

Yeah it'll suck. But it will be good for us getting a guy to the NBA and hopefully top 20 in the draft as a freshman.

OK, since we're talking brightsides of Moe leaving THIS YEAR for the NBA, now we can tell Jakarr he will assume Moe's role on the team and have the same success!  It actually hurt to type that.

Someone needs to pull a jeff Gilhooly (Tonya Harding's boyfriend) or whatever his name was on Moe this summer. Nice deep thigh bruise so he has to come back.  :(

There is ZERO brightside in Moe leaving. Besides that would hurt chances of Sampson coming which BTW from what I have heard are not great to begin with. If Moe returns we are fine. If not, well two bad seasons in a row and Lavin will have a tougher job recruiting than he already has.

Thanks to the players for a hard fought season, playing through very difficult circumstances (which have been beat to death).  Personally, I think there is NO WAY Harkless leaves this year, and that it would be a mistake for him to do so.  But if he does, I wish him nothing but the best, and thank him for a tremendous first season.  And for the returning players -- D-Lo, Phil, Gift, Amir and Dom -- it was great watching you compete this year.   Can't wait to see you (and Mo) back with the crew that Lavin brings in next season.  The future is bright.

I was being kind of sarcastic in my last post, but there is a brightside: sending a freshman to the NBA would not be horrible for the program's reputation.  However, I agree that if Moe leaves, it will set the team back next year and maybe beyond.  All that said, I don't think Moe leaves, and we will be back better than ever next year.

An extra year in college, plus a deep tournament run, equals an extra tens of millions on the back end of an NBA career. Moe isn't stupid, and neither is Nate Blue. I'm not sweating him leaving at all.

Lavin will have to bring in one stellar recruiting class if Mo leaves. I have no idea what Lavin might have up his sleeve.

Let's go Mets
Hasn't this season been frustrating enough? You want to jump to a last place finisher? :( Can't wit to hear Big Pelph's post game laments every fifth day!

but think on the positive side--us Mets fans will be able to be get great seats for next to nothing on Stub Hub on game day (Nets seats were going for 1 cent recently) and we'll be able to eat the great Shake Shack food

PS-congratulations to the team for giving great effort all season while being undermannned.  they will probably sleep for a week.

PPS_Moe come back and win the big award next year!!!

No it would not be good if Moe left. The PR of having a Freshman in the NBA would be dwarfed by how far back it would set the team. We are not ready to have anyone leave yet. Give us two more years so that the program has legs before we lose any Freshmen.

Hopefully Moe comes back because the program definitely needs him and I think he needs another year. He showed flashes of brilliance but he was inconsistent (which is somewhat a result of having very little help inside). I just hope Moe gets the right information. If he is a lottery pick then that is a tough opportunity to pass up. However if he is a borderline first round pick then I think it's in his best interest to come back.
