i jst hope its not Hall because i feel that will hamper our chance at getting morris and would cut the chances of us landing the 2 bigs that we desperately need. its been well documented that hall was offered not so much Morris as i continue to try and find that being said.

We know Hall was offered because of the NY press feeding off a team in the playoffs and a local school being involved.  And the amazing story around his upbringing.  Morris was offered without question.

Let's see what we have right now and evaluate:

Harrison/Greene/Pointer/Garrett/Gift/Branch (December)/Harkless (Pending Draft)/Felix/Sampson

Hope Harkless stays but I won't be mad if he doesn't. If he leaves I'd say that we will fill his spot with a shooter.

I'd say we get a commit from Hall and he either plays or sits out next year and gets his academics in order but by no means do I think it effects Morris. You need more than two shooters anyway, takes a load off of Harrison. Then there is the big man problem. We most definitely need someone to clog up the middle and be a big body for us. I feel like St. John's never gets a competent big man. Hope that changes but I have a bad feeling after those tweets from O.

Exactly if Moe leaves we need to replace scoring.  Yes Dom, Amir and Phil will continue to improve and get better and more consistent at scoring/shooting.  But we need kids that can score the ball by way of shooting.  We have the athletes, hops and shooters.  Time for the spot up guys now.

Moose - not sure it can even happen, but if possible with xfer rules, and he'd want to xfer to another Beast school, is the consensus that Bernardi cannot be a solid 7-8th man off bench on a top tier Beast team to merely provide offensive punch on the perimeter as a poor man's Scott Wood?

Carlos Morris then Anthony Bennett.  Bennett just looks like a Johnny...can't put my finger on it.

I just looked Bennett up.  He's a MONSTER. For a guy that big he sure has a nice stroke.  Can't hurt us that he's at Findley  (where Amir is from)

I have no real interest in Bernardi honestly.  Morris would be great.  I'd take the french kid over Bernardi.

If Dave is correct and 2 more bigs are coming to make this class a "monster", and assuming the doubt around Obekpa lately becomes well-founded, then I would LOVE the 2 bigs to be Sanchez and Bennett, but being more realistic in my expectations, I could see it being Sanchez and Lane, which would still be great given the class we have and assuming we add Morris and Hall.

Morris being offered great opportunity to be the shooter on a team that needs that. Can't see him getting a better deal. Oh happy days!!

Come on guys (and girls?)....  everyone is going off on a tangent. However, just for fun... pick a NAME on who is next.

I will go with Bennett.

Why would you a pick a guy who has never once been interested in us and even tweeted at one point that we weren't 'big enough' for him?

I agree, what's with the Bennett talk? Nothing ive seen even connects us with him at all.

And i'll go with Morris too.

I think Morris will be the next!

So do I.

BTW-For all the hubbub over having 3 kids ineligible, 1 became eligible and is already in uniform (Garrett), 1 took some time but is back in the fold and probably always needed another year anyway (Sampson) and 1 is gone (Pelle).  In a 9 man class turning over an entire roster that is not bad.

More than that, Lavin never backed off these kids and always stuck with them and the kids did the same.  Kids like Garrett and now Jakarr fought to come on board.  Lots of character at both ends and those things galvanize a team.  We only lost Pelle of the group and that is certainly something great.  Let's A, B, C Morris and keep rolling!
Forgetting Nuri who I for one am glad he left.

Bennett actually said on twitter a while back that St Johns never recruited him
