Did we really need him and Bourgault?? I woulda much rather used this scholly on Turner/Chandler/Obekpa.... Are these guys still realistic targets now that Hooper is here?

Doesn't impact Chandler.

Welcome Max. People are gonna think twice about sitting back in a zone and daring us to shoot now

It's Official - Mott the Hooper has committed to St. John's.  New SJ's Band song addition "All the Young Dudes" coming in 2012-13 season.

Great pickup.  Staff now has at least 3 perimeter threats if need be.  Not all starters makes it the tricky part...

So then who is realistic, at this point for 2012 and 13 included with I think 3 ships left to use between the two years

Outside of Chandler I have no idea.

I love this move, if you like Steve Novak, you'll like this kid.

Welcome Max.  I must say I am a little disappointed though. Seems to be a marco clone .

Does this mean balamou might not be coming

I've never seen either player play in person, but aren't him and Bourgault basically the same player? I don't really get this.

I hope he proves me wrong but he looked really slow on those videos and didn't play at all for an ivy league team.  Definitely a little puzzling.  Never mind the fact he has to sit out a year.
Time for some bigs hopefully

I love the move.  2 Shooters with NCAA experience at some level.  So for one year, we have a sr sharp shooter and a Sophmore. Both will be groomed with two years in the program by start of 2013.  Outstanding.

BTW, anyone who thinks saving scholarships in basketball from year to year, is flat out wrong.  Basketball is the one sport, you do NOT save scholarships.  There is to much turnover.

I for one would want Chandler now & save #13 for 2013

Then in 2013 (Gift Graduates) J. Lawrence replaces Gift (NYC kid gets preference)

After that- were getting greedy but
Turner, Goodman,  another 4/5 or another PG (if no Turner)

I dont know which of the 2013 kids we're strong with

correction, we will have 2 sharp shooters with 1 year in the program behind them.  In 2013, you have two guys who will be able to contribute at all times.  One can sub the other.

Coach know what he's doing. He knows that not everyone is going to stay after next season.  Even if he gives out all the schollies this year, I would bank on having 2 schollies to give for 13/14 season.
