If youre an NBA GM and need a SF, who do you take with your pick? With Gilchrist already off the table

I took Moe slightly over Royce White

I still don't see Terrance or Perry as SF's.

Well, you know the Hornets GM (well, VP & Director of Player/Personnell) will be checking in with coach Lavin before deciding.  Gerald Madkins was an Assistant Coach under Steve Lavin at UCLA,  and a UCLA player when Lav's was a UCLA assistant.

Youre probably right. I was using 1 of the mock draft sites for reference. I think this works in Moe's favor, his potential is off the charts

Ya not a big fan of Barnes, I think he's hit his ceiling and tends to disappear. I dont think hes gotten any better at Carolina, but maybe that was from the coaching.When UNC needed a hoop, he deferred to Bulloch in a big spot. Said volumes to me. And it looks like he has trouble getting his shot off at times, getting rejected. Moe on the other hand, took it to the hole and scored on some ridiculously athletic shots

 I'm not familiar with Royce White, at all.

 It would be between Terrence Jones and Moe.  Jones has more power to his game, while Moe more finesse.  I think both will be very good pros.  I'd give Harkless the edge because i think the ceiling is higher.

I don't think Jones is a three though.  I'd probably have to say Barnes, because his upside may be bigger, but can anyone imagine how Mo would have played as a sophomore with the talent that Carolina has (Marshall, Henson, Zeller, McAdoo, etc)....

If I'm an NBA GM and I need a small forward, considering what is available I would be wise enough to not draft a small forward and tell my coach to go out find one somewhere, because he's not getting one from me. I'm not dumb enough to draft a small forward this year.

Think you should have Washington's Terrence Ross in your poll rather than one of the three PFs that are listed.  Ross seems to be very undervalued on the East Coast.

I think Barnes and Moe both end up as pretty good players.  I just wonder if Moe can play on the perimeter.   I know Barnes has the shot and handle to play outside.  Moe dribbling the ball against pressure is still a problem in my eyes.


Think they both end up as 6th man type players in 2 years or so.

Royce White is pretty damn good and he can do things better than Moe however Moe is a better athlete and thats what the NBA game is about.

They're prospects, they arent expected to be as experienced or as physical as the rest of the league.
And Barnes and Moe are CLEARLY two of the best basketball players in this country.    You can debate where they rank, but these guys are going to have NBA careers.   I don't know why that pisses you off so much.

Plus, the "they're not men" thing is insulting.   I don't know why other "men" are so sure they know what's best for him.
