very misleading analysis. the nort carolinas and the kentuckies lose a lot every year. it doesn't seem to hurt them. its normal to have high turnover in college sports. but you're constantly bringing in new talent. and the returning players usually elevate their games. that's what's important.
overall, i think the league is on the rise, because the bottom half of the league is making significant progress. st john's, rutgers, providence, depaul, south florida, and houston are all improving to various degrees. and smu looks committed to upgrading their program as well. and if they get a good coach who can recruit texas talent, then i believe they will. i think seton hall takes a step back next year. but if that stud pg joins the team in '13, that team could be very dangerous going forward. i believe eleven tournament teams from the league will be the norm going forward. and i wouldn't be surprised if we topped that some years. league play is going to be brutal.
