“@JonRothstein: St. John's has no real winning experience --- but the Red Storm are talented. Should be right in the middle of the Big East in 2013-14.”

“@JonRothstein: D'Angelo Harrison will be primed for a breakout season as a sophomore. Will play plenty of PG until Jamal Branch is eligible in December.”

“@JonRothstein: Don't be surprised to see a lot of Harrison, Greene, + Branch together in 3G sets. Lavin used it at UCLA. Likens it to 2005 Illinois team.”

“@JonRothstein: A real sleeper for St. John's could be Christian Jones. 6-7 forward is a hidden commodity. Really strong + skilled. Could be solid reserve.”

Great stuff Paultzman!  D'Lo working on his playmaking skills shows he recognizes how his ticket to the NBA will likely get punched.

Since coach called Felix B bucket maker can we nickname him buckets ala dwight buckets Hardy? Also hope we don't see too much of the 3g set of Harrison, Green and Branch only because we have so many talented front court players some of whom can also play back court.

By right in the middle of the BE do you think Rothstein means in the middle of the pack or in the middle of the fight for top of the conference?

I think he means right in the middle of BE title in 13/14.  Makes sense based on Lavin's public statements.

Just my opinion but this year Top 7/8, next year Top 3-4.
