You're correct Desco.  I thought you said he played in 1 game.  I re-read it.  You did leave out his other game stats though, which were very good.  The point is the same.  If he can score 12/6 in his debut, he can be valuable on somebody's bench.  I'm not calling him a starter.  Still surprised he's not in the league.

You're right I didn't mention the first game specifically, and he did play very well in his debut.   And I absolutely agree some team should give him a shot.  God knows there are enough wings in the NBA who don't bring anything special to the table.   Id love to see what DJ could do over a longer stretch.

Would like to see him on the Knicks pushing Shumpert / Coleman for their time.

Copeland.

DJ could easily take James White's spot on the Knicks roster next season.

DJ can have a Iman Shumpert/Tony Allen type of career if he keeps working. A shutdown defender who boards and can run the floor and slash. If he finds the right situation, he could be a key player for somebody next year

I was checking out preseason NBA box scores, and I see that DJ Kennedy is listed on the Mavericks squad.  Anyone have an idea if he has a shot of making the team?  Good luck to him.

in my opinion, none.  Mavericks very guard heavy with Calderon, Carter, Larkin, Devin Harris, Monta Ellis.  Seems it would come donw to him Ricky Ledo or ellington.  Ellington is a better shooter and Ledo is a young prospect.  I wish him the best, he is one of my all time favorite Johnnies.

As a Mavs fan, I agree with the post above. I don't think he will beat out Ellington (who they see as a 3 D guy) and Ledo (who is a young prospect on a team that does not have many prospects). To be honest, I think the Mavs added him because they want him on their D-League team. The new GM for the Mavs used to work for the Rockets and was very familiar with DJ's year with their D-League team.

Today NBA teams can start signing guys to 10 day contracts.  Was hoping to see him sign one of those.

My son and I yesterday were talking about great memories of his Sr. Season & Pitt game in particular.  Beats dwelling on our strange season to date.
