i know hindsight is 20/20, but i'm starting to think it would've been more prudent to redshirt Jones instead of Gift.  We need the big body.

Jones is a big body. He needs to play harder.

We kept hearing her spent last year trying to be come a 3. We need him to play like a 4

Prediction:  The NCAA will not be ruling on Sanchez's eligibility issues for some time.  Everyone at NCAA HQ is busy looking for a new job.  The writing is on the wall.  When the major football conferences finish adding universities, they will take their TV contracts and cash and leave the NCAA.  Who needs the BS?  This will leave the NCAA with substantially less money and influence, but just as much difficulty ruling on the athletic issues facing the remaining academic institutions.

If you are right then it is time for non major football Catholic schools to also say goodbye to the NCAA.

He's soft.  Throw the ball up and I'll take Balamou over him every time. He'll make 2-3 flashy plays a game, but that isn't enough.  He needs to go back to the drawing board and watch the tape to see how much faster he needs to be reacting.

If he hasnt already done so, coach needs to define Jones' role as a rebounder/putback guy and tell him to play like a rabid dog...with PT being the reward...He is still a very good recruit and hopefully will pick up on fact that performance results in minutes

Hard to make a kid something he isn't...yet. We had a kid I wont name finish here 2 years ago that looked like Tarzan and played softer then Jane for all 4 seasons.  No need to rehash the coach, kid etc.  We all know who, but these things take longer then a few games into a boderline top 300 recruit's freshmen season.  Im quite pleased with his skill level

Only 7 more days to see what happens

I think for us it means 1 of 2 things:
A decision is likely to be made this week. Or
If a decision isn't made, he has other opportunities waiting for him

It's when the semester ends. I think he might fly the coop if he doesn't get answer

I wouldn't blame him.  It's unfair not to at least get an answer.

had the opportunity to bump into Sanchez and Branch pre Fordham game.  Based on my brief discussion - no doubt on two points 1) he is extremely frustrated w ncaa not SJU.   Feels sju is doing everything to push the case. 2) has no clue as to timing of a "decision".

If he s planning to leave if a decision is not made in 7 days, the department should be taking some drastic steps to shed light on the issue with the media

That would be a violation of Orlando's privacy rights
