21-8 board difference, wow!

the difference in the game.  obekpa out with foul trouble didn't help.  jones needs to play bigger.  sampson boxed out really well on one play, knocked a couple of baylor guys down.  we need that effort all game or we will not win this one.

8 rebounds says it all, plus giving Baylor a ton of second chances!

We need to box out. If we had just boxed out we probably wouldve had the lead at this point.

Other notes:
DLo came out on fire. Offense is nonexistent when he isn't on the court. Spaces out the defense.
Jakarr still makes mental mistakes. Bad fouls, missed box outs, etc.
Chris Jones is silent.
Felix shows signs of being a very good player.
Marco isnt getting open.
Chris still blocks and changes shots, but needs to stay out of foul trouble.
Phil looks good penetrating, but needs to settle a little less.
Amir is playing well. Finding guys and attacking the rim.
Dom is the best player on the court right now. Defensively great and offensively hustling/taking smart shots.

Notes at the half

We are getting destroyed inside.  We desperately need more beef in the paint.  Why we are redshirting Gift is beyond me.  With Obekba and Sampson sitting for foul trouble, we've got Garrett playing the 4 in amongst the trees.  Garrett can't play a paint position.  I really hope Sanchez can play soon.  In the same vein, bummed we missed out on Gathers.  I'd like to see us start the 2nd half with our 3 bigs.  This could be a great win if our shoots continue to fall.

Shooting 55% in second half is unlikely, so IMO our only shot is to try to make them turn over the ball & shadow Heslip when they penetrate. Easy when you are watching on TV, Ha!

Dom played his best half. But Phil and and Deangelo played better IMO
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

Offensively I agree, they are carrying us. But defensively they are leaving a lot to be desired.

That being said, this game is there for the taking.

Missed the beginning. D-lo benched again to start the game?  WTF, Man?

Missed team bus by 1 minute. He needs to be the first player in and last one out to be a leader. unacceptable imo.

Greene is carrying us right now.

Sky is the limit for him, imo.  Great strides in his game in one year.  Will be a great 4 year player for us...

Crucial Obekpa doesn't pick up #4 anytime soon....crucial

I'm with you, 100%.   Bobre disagrees, I'm sure.

Honestly I wasnt high on him when we recruited him/got him to commit, but every year hes proven me wrong. He has a lot of physical skill and if he improves his shot some more he can be a dominant player at this level and a draft pick for the next.

Agreed on Obekpa. He's our only true big.

Why is a three always open when they are in those out of bounds situation?
