Has anyone else noticed every article about this has had photos of Sju players. I have a feeling we play a huge role in this. Our toes to nyc and msg are huge for Sju potential conference.

The meeting was at STJ too.

Having a feeling we may be on a roll for good news in addition to this BE development. Not recruiting, but as important.

Paultz do you know something?    Because obviously you're talking about Orlando.  ;)

The basketball schools "fast break" is something I have wanted since the dissolution of the conference started.  I like the idea that the 7 Catholic schools can form their own league on this break out and still have the automatic bid and possibly retain the name.  I would like to cap the league at 10 so we could have a true home and home conference season something none of th FB conferences will ever be able to do again.  In today's NY Times there is an interesting article on the place of college BB to college FB and how FB is the dag that wags the tail and the only thing that counts in college basketball is March Madness.  Well maybe a BB conference could have a recruiting edge in that the BB players are the top dogs, not secondary to FB players.

At last the Basketball schools have taken the initiative and shown that they have basketBALLS!!!!

I too have always liked the idea of an all-Catholic basketball league.

How about an all-Protestant League as well?

The winners of each league would play one another and we could vicariously re-live the Protestant Reformation.

How about an all-Jewish league?  First in....Murray State.

Its not going to be 9, 10 at minimum and 12 most likely

Not enough members to field good conference for non basketball sports

a 6 team baseball conference, don't think St Johns wants that

They would be candidate but being brand new to A-10 might create some $ issues.

I don't think they would pass at say 2 million a year with a high RPI vs 750k a year and a mystery RPI

Rome wasn't built in a day.  Let's make the break first, create a strong, bb-only conference among the no-brainer, first available schools of choice (e.g., Xavier, St. Louis), and take things from there.
