I'll take a stab

1-branch
2-d'lo
3-Amir
4-Jakarr
5-Sanchez

My first 2 bodies off the bench regardless of position are obekpa and Dom, they change the game almost immediately once inserted. I'd love to see branch at the top of the key with both d'lo and Marco on a wing or Phil and d'lo on a wing Sanchez at high post with Marco in d'lo corner. Or same set with Jakarr or c.jones running baseline. That would be ideal.

I'd agree.  Good problem to have with those guys off the bench.  Now lets say our prayers and hope Sanchez gets eligible.

If Sanchez is allowed to play, what would that mean for his eligibility status? If he is classified as a senior does that mean he can only play in the Spring semester or at most into next fall? If that is the case would it make more sense to redshirt him and have him play all of next year?

Guys FYI we haven't seen branch just yet. I don't think Phil is the problem. I think him not having a backup is the problem.

Phil isnt the problem. But hes also not the solution at the PG. We need penetration from the top of the key.

All true KOB.  Just having Phil as that guy off the bench would be a nice injection of energy and scoring IMO.
Have you seen or heard anything regarding what to expect from Branch?

Eligibility is likely based on age - and the "5 years to play 4" rule, and when his "clock" started.   If they rule he's a senior, I don't think redshirting is an option, as whatever "clock" they'll have allowed him will likely have expired.

I don't think Branch is really a penetrator-type.  Jamal is a big PG who will run the offense and defend.  Hes not overly speedy, even thiugh hes athletic enough.  I expect him to be more of a kid like Marcus Williams of Uconn and we can all hope he's even close to that good.  What we need right now is just a steady floor general there who has the vision to see what's going on and the passing ability to get the ball where it needs to be, both in the break and the half court.  This will give Phil a much needed break as well and take some pressure off of him.

IF we were to get both guys eligible, come the crux of Big East play, ur best lineup would likely be Branch, Harrison, Jakarr, Sanchez and Obekpa.  At this point though we have no idea whether Branch can unseat Phil.  I also like Obekpa coming off the bench but no doubt even now, he is a "starter" even if he doesn't technically enter at the tip.  We cod be so lucky to get Sanchez eligible.

Forget which game it was, but one of the announcers mentioned that Obekpa wants to come off the bench. Lavin gave him the option and he said he feels more comfortable after watching a couple of minutes to get a feel for the game. But there's no doubt he will see starter minutes as long as he doesn't get into any foul trouble.

I think it's great. Let him get a look at how the other team is running their offense.
Then he comes in and does his damage.

Gotta be smart to block shots. Obekpa clearly is.

It would be great to have a 3 headed monster off the bench in Obekpa, Phil and Dom.  A little bit of everything and injection of energy each in their own ways.

I believe Sanchez would have made us a potential NCAA tourney team. That said, I am enjoying see this team grow even if he does not join us. Seeing JaKarr and Sampson up close at MSG Saturday was a lot of fun. They are becoming nice players and seem to be really enjoying their stay with us. Branch will probably be solid in time and help with transitional game and getting folks the ball in correct spots. Flaws, yes! Positive upside, a resounding yes IMO!

I've seen branch a few times. I think he is a more steady pg but I think Phil can create more and is way more aggressive

Thanks for the input Kob.

The thing is though I don't think Phil can create. At least not for anybody else. And I like him as a player.

The world is round! I think some of you are still under the impression it is flat. This "when Sanchez is eligible" posts is starting to resemble the "when coach comes back" posts of last year. If he somehow does gain eligibility sometime before BET great. But otherwise how often are kids ruled eligible halfway through a season.

Pretty often.  I think we know where we stand once 1st semester ends.  Even he mentioned something yesterday thru some social channel about 7 days which would be when semester ends.  If we don't see him for Asheville or Nova game we're probably going to tune in and not see him on the bench and then we have our answer.

Agree and I think we need steady right now.  The other 10 on our roster can be aggressive on offense.  Branch needs to control the tempo, push the ball on the break and get it to open guys down low.  Phil hasn't been able to get the ball where it needs to be at times.  Branch a different type of player, and like I said maybe more "boring" but I think a distributor is what we need right now.

Respect your opinions but how do you create less than zero?
