I don't think that prime time exposure or a team's success is as big of an impact on a player's draft position as others seem to believe. Look at Duke, as an example. They have had a lot of great or really good collegiate players who have been on the big stage consistently (and played well) and didn't sniff the top 20/first round.
Er wtf? DoOk players are routinely picked higher in the draft based solely on their affilliation and exposure, despite the fact DeWk's long and storied history of producing NBA failure after NBA failure. Christian Laettner. Cherokee Parks. Sheldon Williams. Will Avery. Trajan Clankdon. Jim Spanarkle. Alaa Yabadabawhatverhisnamewas. Danny Ferry. Bob Hurley. And even those players who aren't complete and utter failures are picked higher because dEwk: Mike Dunleavy, Reddick, Battier, LOL! Deng, Dante Jones. And Jay Williams would have been a lottery bust as well if he hadn't had the foresight to drive head first into a tree. Versus who? Hill, Brand, Boozer? Really really bad example.
