Cinci Game

I think they did try to stall and they were tired. That is why I feel more substitions should be made. You dont want our best players running out of gass at the end of the game or in foul trouble.

Also Dee had 4 fouls and wasn't willing to chance getting that 5th on a drive to the hoop.

That is nice. They seem to come back real pissed after we beat them. Gives us a nice edge in recruiting too.  Cronin has done a nice job with that program

Really the only consistent part of our offense now is Harrison and Sampson basically shooting jumpers. Need to find a way to get some easy baskets

Anything that keeps him from taking those ugly top of the key jumpshots is fine with me.

He doesn't have a bad touch either. Watch him though, he just shoots it w/o any prep. ALmost like he wants to get the free throw over with.
Other Harrison whole team is a disaster from the line. Haven't seen enough of Branch. And actually has Greene even shot a free throw this year? There really is no excuse for kids to shoot this bad from the line.

  Who on the staff teaches our big men?  Used to be Singleton back in the Norm years, right?  Obekpa and Sampson would benefit greatly from some serious big man tutelage.

 I am trying to think of who from STJ years past could come back and teach, but I'm drawing a blank.  Guess we don't have much of a history of decent big men.

He started out the year with some surprising (granted not earth chattering) success on a few jumpers...his weight seems to hang back on all shots which I hope the staff has noticed and is working on...we need him to be able to position and score down low...but probabilty of a foul is high and it is, as you say, like a turnover...

Dion Waiters couldn't shoot worth a lick in his freshmen year (and he is a SG/SF)...hopefully CO can become serviceable on the offensive end as he develops

He won a game for us early in the season with a jumper from the same spot, and Lavin said at the time the staff wanted him to take that shot and had been encouraging him to do so.

I got no problem with the jumper.  Like WASJU said it seems like the mind is playing tricks when on the FT line.  During the jumper its just doing it, less thinking.

George Johnson had the best post game of any Johnny since the 70's, had a decent NBA career and belongs among the SJ legends...Assuming he can teach, he would be ideal and a nice way to reconnect him with the program

"Terrible in-game coaches" don't beat top 15 teams on the road with a team full of freshman and sophomores. Just saying.

Agreed knowing our weakness from the Villanova game made this team stronger and attacking Cincy exposed their true worth
