Nice article about his life in NY;

“@STJ_Basketball: If you're up early, here's a @WSJ piece by Dave Caldwell on #stjbb's Coach Keady adjusting to #NYC living: http://t.co/6V6hEApE

What's this crazy talk?

"New York people are really friendly," said Keady, now a special assistant and adviser to Steve Lavin, the coach of the St. John's basketball team. "I always thought they weren't. They are really friendly. That's a misunderstanding about New York people."

That is a really nice article and I can say Keady truly is happy at St Johns. Had coffee with him in Detroit last season and spoke with him for a long time in San Fran this year (picture to prove it LOL) . He really likes our group, likes who we are recruiting and believes this program is destined for big things. He calls himself the boss of the program as Lavin and the staff are coached by him. We are lucky to have him.

This is what i hoped would happen when Dunlap left.

Glad to be reassured of this and confident that Lavin will profit immensely from Keady's x and o advice throughout the season.

I wouldn't mind if Coach Keady left soon, after winning a NC.

Surely even you don't anticipate a NC in the near future CR?

Whey you've been aroujnd as long as I have "near term"  is a RELATIVE term.   Yeah - I think it could happen in the near term.   Depends on who stays, who goes, who comes.  But yeah - I think seniors D'lo, Sir Dom, Amir, Branch, Phil, Juniors Jakarr, Obekpa, Balamou, Jones, and Sophs Rysheed and Jermaine - plus a top frosh or two have a good shot!

Add in a finally declared eligible 27 year old Orlando, and we DOMINATE!  :)
