I love how Dom has been playing. Still don't know how he was the 21st rated player coming out of hs. He is far from a great basketball player. He will be a good 4 year player here. That is not a diss. He was rated higher then Harrison and harkless

Pointer is a better pro prospect than Harrison. Can do more physically which is what a lot of scouts value more so than just basketball skills. They both add tremendous value in various ways.

Dom isn't a good dribbler. He's quick with the ball which allows him to get by people but is sloppy. He often picks up his dribble and avoids making a poor decision.

As for a comparison to DJ Kennedy, if you forget DJ often dribbled very sloppy and failed to pull up his dribble making a number of turnover going to the basket when nothing was there. He matured, his game matured, and he an NBA cusp player.

Remember Dom is still a sophomore and he's playing great.

If he had a poor handle he would have far more than 33 T/O's.  This coach has the ball in his hands a lot.

Team first attitude + warrior mentality + high bball iq + great athlete = a special player.  I'm gonna focus on the ppositives w/ Dom

Pointer is the second coming of Ronnie brewer, a poor mans version though

Win or lose, strong showing on network TV game is essential and will embolden us for kicking the snot out of UConn Wednesday.

Howie, agree on the personality.  He will work on his game and continue to improve.  He does have the team first mentality that every fan wants to see.

Dave, I know he's not Steve Nash with the ball, but it is off base to compare him to a bunch of 12 year olds.  That was worth a response.  As a fan I like seeing him running the break and when he puts the ball on the floor.  We had years worth of point guards who had less success running a break for this team.

It amazing how far the opinions have mostly changed in just two weeks.  There were just a few posters sticking up for him (and you were one of them) among many taking shot after shot at his game during the preseason.  Most posters did not want him to be on the court.  Well, now he is shooting over 70% and grabbing over 6 boards and dishing almost three assists per game during the real season.  His best games are ahead of him.

When Postel got to the Knicks he shaved his head and tried to become a shooter.  He went from guarding 4s in college to trying to be something he wasn't.  Dom has already been noticed for what he is - the kind of player the league likes.  The key is staying the same and being ferocious on "D" and efficient on "O."  No way they would have put up with Antest this long if he didn't play the way he does.  A lesson for Sir Dom if ever there was one.
