HE may be slow, but his release is FAST.

Some times even a blind squirrel finds a nut. If Branch doesn't get hurt Lavin never gives Bourgault a chance. Could have used him in some capacity prior to the last two games!

I didn't know constructive criticism was off limits.  This time next week after Cuse and Lville will it be allowed?

Amen re: more looks, Moose.  It was nice that the team was looking for him early, and it helped to have another weapon out there.  When we played with CO and Felix for stretches, it was almost like going 3 on 5 on the offensive end.  He also was more active defensively and on the boards. 

I expect to see him play more, and Branch's return should mean less minutes for PGIV, not Marco.  Let's run some screens for him.  Heck just having him out there helps because he started getting Novak treatment from UCONN after he hit his first few shots.  One breaks, you could see a UCONN instinctively trying to find out where he was and fanning out, opening the middle. 

We see this, and I'm sure Coach does as well.

Bourgault's play keyed our win tonight. We matched their three point shooting, and gave them a another player to worry about. He does release the ball quickly. I noticed that tonight. However, if he didn't camp out in the corner waiting for someone to get him the ball, he'd have had it more.

Once Bourgault moves around and gets comfortable putting it on the floor just a little, he can be even more effective. Right now, he's about as good as Avery Patterson. Who, because he was such a Mary, never got used to the BE.

Marco has a chance to be a real difference maker for us down the stretch. Hopefully he continues to get better as he gets more playing time.

Real nice win tonight.   I can very critical of coach at times, but he's doing something right because we keep winning Big East games, and that's not easy.   
And a win shouldn't be dismissed just because its ugly.   All our wins are ugly, we're always giving up leads - but they count just the same in the standings. 


Really wish we had those USF and UNCA games back.   The perception of this team would be very different if we had taken are of business in those games.   

everyone gushy about his shooting/offense but tonight I thought he looked the most comfortable all season in the zone.  he rotated with the ball movement covering the wing nad the corner nicely for someone who looked lost out there in previous game.  I thought a lot of his lack of PT was due to his defensive shorcomings.  Maybe he has finally grasped the zone concepts.

Funny thing is that Hooper makes Bourgault look like a bad shooter.  Nice to have one or two of these guys coming off the bench to make long shots.

I think we would be undefeated and ranked #1 in the country if coach had played Marco 30 mins every game.
