Marco could definitely be the X factor going forward especially against Syracuse with that 2-3 zone.

Either Marco has been tearing it up in practice all along and Lavin was too dense to realize he could use him, or Marco has slowly been improving and figuring out what he needs to do , offensively and defensively, to get on the court.  Now he gets it, and opportunity has presented itself.

No one knows the real story because none of us are in practice everyday. Bottom line, he is contributing at the most important part of the season, and that is a great thing. I'm not concerned about how we got here, just happy that we are in this situation and we have another weapon.

Not same situation, but reminds me of Sean Evans a few years back.  Except in this situation there are a lot more Bobres.. :)

Marco has arrived just in time for the 2-3 zone.

We've won 7 of last 8 or something?  Cant find too much to get upset about with the coaching.  Something is going right.

Something about a squirrel finding his nuts 7 out of 8 times...or something like that.

I will be at the game. Will be very happy if he hits a 3. If he hits a big shot will be overjoyed. Still think he is worst player on the team, Marco prove me wrong
Marco proved me wrong. He played solid defense. And was a threat on offense.

I think we would be undefeated and ranked #1 in the country if coach had played Marco 30 mins every game

Yeah, becuase that was what I was saying dopey ::)

Kid can shoot, should be obvious to even people like you now. He should have gotten more of a chance and would not have if Branch did not get hurt.

Whoa, take it easy Nancy! Where did I say you said that? Was just a general comment after a few drinks. Sorry to offend you . . . Also, where did I ever say Marco couldn't shoot?

You replied to my quote. My only point from the first time I saw him shoot was he had a skill that not many on this team possess and it should have been utilized more than it was up until Branch got hurt. 15-8 is better than I expected from this team so Lavin gets the credit. Not playing Bourgault 10-15 minutes a game before Branch injury was a mistake.

To defend the not playing of Marco. He was slow and clueless out there for his 5 minutes of action. However this is where I question Lavin for not creating sets or role/purpose for Marco while he was out there. Against Georgetown and UConn he was playing with purpose. I still don't think he should be playing extended minutes but his time on the court should be more effective now.

Until now Harrison's performance has eliminated opportunities for Marco.  Now that DLo has found reality Marco becomes a good option.  Timing is everything.  W/O Sanchez Marco represents just about all of our upside for the rest of the year.  He also can guard forwards a little so that's good.  Can't double everyone and a second shooter is a luxury.
