Marquette Game - Player of the Game
« on: March 10, 2013, 04:27:49 PM »
I dropped the ball on this for a few games, but it's back.

Personally, I loved Branch's play yesterday.   He gets my vote.   But my hat is off to Phil, he played within himself and came up big in some spots.

What I couldn't understand Mase was that coach never seemed to play Branch and Marco together.    Branch was doing a great job at getting in the lane and kicking out, or going under the hoop and passing out.    How come we can't have the two of them on the court at the same time?

I often wonder the same thing. I also don't think there was any coincidence that people got better  looks today because Marco Jamal and Christian got extended minutes. There really the only three kids on the team who aren't 'ball stoppers'. We really need to pass the ball quicker. We hold onto it for far to long.

Christian provided great spark off the bench.  He really put gardner in check for most park muscling him up.

Yes again.  He was the concensus PoG winner of the Louisville game.  He would have won it other occasions as well if we started picking a PoG earlier in the season.

The day Carmine votes for Aggie as he calls him over PGIV will be the day hell freezes over :)

Not so.  I am a very reasonable man and if he ever outplays Phil in a game I'll acknowledge it.  Actually, I'm beginning to forgive the Aggie for the Nova game and have been entertained by his flashy, anything but vanilla,  high-risk passing game.

Some.  I just don't think we had the PoG thing going then.
