We are gonna win this game

Of all times to be confident...really? No Harrison, we can't shoot FT's we are lucky to shoot 20% from 3, and Nova does not lose games they shouldn't very often. Being at home means nothing because Philly is 90 miles away and there will probably be more Nova fans than SJ fans. We have nothing to play for except dignity...they are already in and all they are playing for is a better seed in the tourney. I'd love to steal this one, but Nova is too quality a program to lose to a SJ team it already beat and now without a near 20 PPG scorer. Arcidiacano is going to explode from 3 tonight as most opponent shooters do against us. At least 20 pts from him. We may hang in there early up to half then Nova will pull away.

Nova is better than ND and ND just blew us out by 26. To win, we need to make 3's at a 35%+ clip (a miracle), make our FT's at an 80%+ clip (another miracle), and shut Nova down from 3 (good luck with pimple face being automatic). I want to believe in our team, but every time I do they prove they shouldn't ever be trusted. Hope I'm dead wrong and get made fun of for this post after a 20 pt win.

We almost beat them once, we can almost beat them again.

I'd rather almost loose to them.

That was with Harrison. By the way, losing this game will have zero moral victories. We are beginning to be seen as a joke in our conference after losing like 7 of our past 10 or whatever the numbers are. Losing this game solidifies the fact that we are a clear 2nd tier team behind Nova, Marquette, G'Town, etc. You would think that we are WAY overdue for a crazy hot 3 pt shooting game, but for some reason this SJ team defies the odds and stays consistently terrible from behind the arc. Only way we have a chance is with decent to great 3 pt shooting (35%-50%), and if the refs don't give Nova 40 freebies like usual.

I was only joking. I figured it was obvious.

3 point shooting isn't going to save us. Nova can shoot much better than us, and we don't try to stop shooters. Our best bet is to have Branch run them out of the gym by leading the break. We have to have some man to man d as well, because they can move the ball. Our zone won't stop them.

So not because of the last 10+ years, but because of the last 10 games we are being seen as a joke? We played real tough against Marquette, without harrison or dom, I like to think we can play tough against Nova on our floor.

Do you think fans of other teams remember when we come close and play them tough, or beat them? No one remembers a losing team. No more moral victory talk. Even the worst teams catch a break a few games. We haven't caught one without Harrison yet. If we lose this game, I think it proves that Lavin's decision to suspend Harrison not only killed our NCAA dreams, but also killed our team as a competitive program in our conference.

Well I think you are wrong about that, I think teams definitely do remember when you play them close. Also, as far as Harrison goes, I'm not saying this is necessarily the case, but I would much rather have him suspended this year, come back a real ball player next year and allow us to make a deep run in the tourney.
