I thought Phil played a good half. That said, he's gotta learn how to throw a lob. Had jones available for one that would have been huge going into the half.
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

Lavin has a better chance at selling me Snake Oil than selling me playing unused walk-ons in the BE tourney.

I have no further tolerance for Lavin's references to young, young and youngest! Embarrassing to talk about it all the time! Enough, we know. Play the cards dealt to you. Can do without the triple metaphors too!

I think at this point, it's a canned expression that he uses until he collects his thoughts when he is publicly speaking - basically just filler words.  Next season it'll go away.

Yeah, he definitely made sure Norm recruited 10 guys in one class 6 years ago. Scheming so he could have an excuse for a few years when he made his glorious return to coaching.

11 Nova TOs keeping us in this mess

Also they aren't going the line at all.  That's huge.  Our defensive presence under the rim makes them alter many of those shots.

Yup and he made the tourney with Norms guys. Not so much since. Half the guys he recruited are gone or should be gone

Agreed...there are many young teams that still get the job done. It's almost like he's expecting losses saying that stuff. These are the kids from our top 10 recruiting class. They have 2 full years of experience. Sampson is the ROY. Obekpa is the best shot blocker in the country. Enough with the youth excuse...win games or go home.

Don't want to get into this argument again, but it's a freaking fact that we are young. He IS playing the cards that are dealt to him, that doesn't mean he can't state a fact about the team when he's asked a question. Announcers mention every game how young we are and they are right. It's sort of like being upset in 2010-11 when he always mentioned how we were an experienced team. It's just a fact about the age of the team.

Wonder if Lipscomb even had a jock on.  :D Second game he played all year. Nothing is a surprise anymore with SJU.

The necessity to state it over and over is ridiculous. Everyone knows, especially the media.  Mission accomplished! Now coach this team!

We allowed to have something going for us. Our open misses keeping Nova in game. This ain't Frazier vs. Monroe.

In 2 years when we are full of Juniors and Seniors is he allowed to say we are an experienced team?

Lavin has a better chance at selling me Snake Oil than selling me playing unused walk-ons in the BE tourney.

It looks like a gimmick. Why play a walk on March? You play a walk on in March when you're up 30 w 2 minutes to go.

Do we even practice 3 pointers? I mean seriously...this team is probably the worst pure shooting team I've ever seen in my life. By now one would think we get hot and shoot at least 40% from behind the arc under a good day from Marco, Branch, and Greene shooting. Please, can we have some luck shooting wise?
