I think he ends up at Xavier... which would be a big mistake imo

Why would that be a mistake??? Didn't they make the sweet 16 this past season and they have a true and upcoming coach?

Fingers crossed that he does sign with SJU.

This kid belongs in the Big East, not the A-10. I think he comes to St Johns with another soon to follow

i would bet that he comes here

The A-10's a tough conference, and agreed that Sen Miller's an excellent up and coming coach.  Can't fault a player looking at Xavier.  South Carolina, though... I don't know how a self respecting player can be a member of a group called the "Cocks."

honestly, i just cant see kevin choosing xavier or south carolina over the johnnies. everything seems to favor SJU. My guess is that he wants to take some officials just to make sure (official visits are paid by the university). i think his mind is pretty much made up to come here w/omari...

Before the spring I would say Book, but now it looks as if coach Oz has an edge.   How much say will his Family have in his decision?
The phrase perfect storm refers to the a simultaneous occurrence of events which, taken individually, would be far less powerful than the result of their chance combination. Such occurrences are, by their very nature, rare, and so even a slight change in any one event contributing to a ‘perfect storm’ would be sufficient to lessen the overall power of the final event.

Man, I need to get to 500.  Maybe I'll get off the "bench."  I have to start making useless comments on different strings.

Edges mean nothing until they sign.

only if they sign on the edges, and don't steal signs.  that sunk the '51 dodgers.  all right, back on topic.

Post-Summer College Projections -

http://blog.northstarbball.com/2008/08/30/postsummer-college-projections.aspx

KEVIN PARROM, SOUTH KENT (CT)

Projection: St. John's

Second in Line: Xavier

Xavier keeps popping up with Kevin Parrom, but St. John's is the school to beat. Parrom is close friends with AAU and high school teammate Omari Lawrence '09, who recently committed to the Red Storm. Lawrence is following Parrom from St. Raymond's to South Kent, and I see Parrom joining Lawrence back in the Big Apple at St. John's. The hiring of the duo's AAU coach with the NY Panthers, Oswald "Oz" Cross, will help too.

http://www.zagsblog.net/2008/09/06/parrom-braswell-to-visit-xavier/

Kevin Parrom and Chris Braswell will make an official visit to Xavier University Sept. 12-14.

The 6-foot-6 Parrom, now at South Kent (Conn.), recently took visits to St. John’s and UConn and has also been to Rutgers and Xavier unofficially.

Parrom,  ranked No. 19 among small forwards in the Class of 2009 by Rivals, had previously said his top five were St. John’s, Marquette, Xavier, Rutgers and South Carolina, but now he is also considering UConn, Louisville, Temple, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Providence.

Asked what other visits he may take, Parrom said, “I don’t know yet.”

The 6-8 Braswell, now at Hargrave Military (Va.), de-committed from Georgetown and holds a slew of offers from UConn, Georgetown, Maryland, Indiana, Pitt, Xavier, Charlotte, Villanova and Virginia. He is ranked No. 22 among power forwards in the Class of 2009.

Dave Telep of Scout also reported that Braswell will visit Maryland Sept. 20, Indiana Sept. 27, Virginia Tech (Oct. 4) and Charlotte (Oct. 11).
