I'm not up to date on this. Is our schedule complete for next year?

Right now there's 10 out of conference games on the schedule including the exempt tournament.  I think that means they could schedule 2 more games if they like.

Have their been dates and times given to our BE games?

Schedule usually comes out when school starts.  Times are sometimes even later.  Might be sooner since Fox has less to juggle than ESPN.

Wagner, Youngstown State and Dartmouth are the extra games.  Dartmouth during conference play which is really odd.  No true road games either which is interesting.

Guess Lavin feels that the Europe trip is enough travel, even though the games don't count.

Not great, but some interesting challanges.  Bucknell will be no slouch.  Wisconsin plays 180 degrees from the pace that we will.  Ole Miss possibly in the Barclays Center, and of course the Cuse.  Can't complain with locals like Wagner, Fordham, and Colombia.

I would have liked one more prime game, but you can't have everything (maybe they tried, and couldn't agree on one - hence, getting stuck with Dartmouth in January).

Yes you can.  'Fans' of a certain other local school will complain.

I actually didn't mean those schools specifically.  Just that I never knock us for playing local teams (I think I know which "fans"/team you are talking about, though).

The limited travel is interesting.   I look at it two ways; it's possible that 1) it doesn't prepare the kids well for travel and the adjustment necessary for true road games come tournament time (especially in other time zones), but also 2) It limits their time away from campus.   When you travel to the west coast or midwest you basically lose at least two full days, the day you travel there and the day you come back.  Sometimes a third day is shot, depending on the time of your flight.

With this schedule, Lavin can have the guys right back to work at their normal practice time the next morning after playing Wagner, Columbia, Dartmouth etc.    I see that as a plus.

This out of conference schedule IMO also provides a lot of time for players and an opportunity to make decisions about the rotation. At least I hope it does. Desco's point about limited travel and development makes sense as well.

The Cuse game is on a Sunday?
When you're a kid from New York and you do it in New York, that lasts forever!

I would of liked to add at least another big game but Syracuse and Wisconsin (Which is basically a road game) will be good tests. The things i'm hoping for out of the non conference schedule is that we develop an identity, gain on court chemistry and have the opportunity to go against many different styles of play

Cuse game is Sunday probably at 12 or 1.  Rangers are scheduled to play at MSG that night.
