NCAA Tidbits

Since I have picked apart our 'offense' recently-

Twenty-two of the past 24 champions have averaged at least 77 points per game and a scoring margin of 10-plus points per game during the regular season. Additionally, since 1979, every national champion has had at least one McDonald’s All-American — except Maryland in 2002.

If the PPG stats hold true the only teams who average over 77 a game are-

Indiana
Duke
Ole Miss
Iowa State
VCU
Gonzaga
UNC
NC State
Belmont

and

Iona :)

Sorry Moose - but ya gotta scratch North Carolina, North Carolina State and Iona off your list.   Got the requisite 77 pts, but not the 10 pt average victory margin!

This surprised me for some reason.  Obviously it makes sense , but I thought there would be more than 1 team in 34 years.

If you check again I only listed teams that score 77 or more.  I don't have the free time you did to look at the margin.  Congrats.

Article on Ole Miss "psycho";

"At St. John’s, Fraschilla had the unique responsibility of coaching an 18-year-old Ron Artest. Fraschilla would sometimes toss Artest from practice, just to motivate him that much more. Fraschilla knew he was dancing on the edge of a blade."

“You always had to send two assistants into the locker room after him — two of them — to make sure he didn’t rip the TV off the wall,” Fraschilla said. “Having said that, he was one of the most fun guys I ever coached.”

Haven't seen this kid but want to after reading all this hype.  Will he be around next year if we play him.  They can put a ring in Barclays and him and Dee can go at it.

Saw him on TV twice, quite a show. He was running up and down court side section with Gator rooters doing the UF "chomp". Entertaining, annoying guy who can shoot and create havoc. I'd go to Barclays to see him and hopefully D'Lo. (He's a Junior I believe)

i guess that means there's hope for us.

i don't believe any of their guys left early.  six played pro ball after college.  at last look, chris wilcox is still with the celtics...steve blake is with the lakers.  lonny baxter had a five year nba career.  juan dixon was in the nba for six.

Harrison by TKO in the 2nd round.

Anyhow I have Ole Miss winning 2 games in my bracket; hope this kid gets hot.
