My vote goes to Dom.   He was good early, and clutch late in the game obviously.

You haven't noticed yet?  Somebody's been doing that after nearly every game, even on Phil's worst nights.

Dom obviously, but I will say, Obekpa was a big part of this comeback.  Once St. Joe's got cold, they tried to go inside, and Obekpa's mere presence made them tentative.  Martelli even said as much after the game.

Dom was player of the game for sure, but we dont' win without Phil.  We miight not have kept it close without Phil. 50% shooting...3 assists to 0 turnovers...solid D...what more do you Greene haters want?

+1

Greene hit a few shots in a row when we are on the edge of losing any chance last night. Don't love or hate him but he gives it every minute and catch myself really pulling for him with all the hate around now.

Pointer definitely player of the game though.

Who said I was 'hating'.  Dom was hands down the player of the game.  Thats the point I was making.

In all seriousness, if Greene is a major part of the offense next year we will be back in the NIT. He would be fine as a 6th or 7th man. Unfortunately he will be our starting 2 guard.

Only if Harrison doesn't come back.

I would be shocked if Harrison is back. If Greene does start he can't be focus of the offense. I would like to see the ball in Pointer and Branch's hands majority of the time.

I'm 50/50 at this point.  I was more positive until Nate said that Harrison " has yet to make his decision"..  That makes me think he's gone.  Will be tough for him to sit out a year though, unless he goes the sick cat route .

If somehow we land Jordan,  It won't bother be nearly as much.

Harrison will be back.  The suspension rules out any hope for a waiver to play immediately anywhere else and there is no reason for a kid that talented to sit out a year.  We will be really, really good next year and he'll be the main cog.  He knows that.

If you can't make it work for a player's coach like Lavin, you will have questions your entire career about that.  The second he would do anything else wrong, it will be brought up.

I look at Greene and I see a kid on the verge of breaking out if he can improve his shot.  He has some pro moves to create space regularly one-on-one...I love the floater...he gets to the basket...he has a decent looking shot.  He needs to add 10+ pounds of muscle quickly and work on his shot and keep improving defensively.  He's only a soph!

There will be more space for him next year coming off pick-and-rolls with Sanchez, some better shooters, and hopefully guys that can score inside.  I still think he is better suited for 20 mpg than the 35+ he has been playing.  He's not meant to carry a team, but he can be a back-breaking third guard opposing teams hate to deal with.

Nobody on this site disagrees that with less time and not carrying a team he can be pretty damn good.  In fact cutting his minutes might increase his production in many ways.
